On target. If Trump fails we will all be lobotomized.

I’m reminded of the line from the movie Patton in which he says he has the exact instrument and the exact moment in history. The usual suspects thought he was too crude also.

Loved the laughing at the beginning! All you say is so true – God help and save the Republic!

Something to add to the gun discussion: Second Amendment rights are woman’s rights. Nothing short of a gun can equalize the difference of strength between men and women.

I never get tired of hearing Andrew crack up at his own opening monologues! Hilarious!

Indeed, a direct hit. @andrewklavans brilliant disquisition also explains why the original Star Trek is, and shall always be, better than Star Trek: The Next Generation

The brilliant @victordavishanson has made a similar argument to Andrew’s, and VDH often cites Patton as another example of a man who was necessary for the time and the mission, yet who was ultimately rejected by those who needed him and demanded that he act. He also describes Trump as analogous to the heroes of the movies Shane and High Noon as well – beleaguered people demand that the hero act in their behalf, yet reject him personally. The heroes even know that the beneficiaries will never accept them, yet they act as they know the situation demands despite the rejection.

The opening monologue of the Andrew Klavan Show is invariably the best comedy published that day in any medium. Shades of the days when people would ask routinely “did you catch Johnny Carson’s monologue last night?”

And why don’t women recognize this inescapable, obvious truth? Could it be … feminism?
