When Theresa May took over as Prime Minister, she announced that “Brexit means Brexit.” However now the fate of her deal to leave the European Union is uncertain.

With negotiations still ongoing, we interviewed AEI fellow Dalibor Rohac to break down what’s happening and what it all means. On this episode, we discuss why the United Kingdom voted to leave the EU, the chances of May’s deal passing and what it would mean for the UK, whether there will or should be a second referendum, and much more.

Dalibor Rohac is a research fellow at AEI, where he studies European political and economic trends. He’s also the author of the book “Towards an Imperfect Union: A Conservative Case for the EU.” You can follow him on Twitter @DaliborRohac.

    Thank you, Ricochet and AEI!

I have a house full of Brexit-chixs, and their friends who have been stingy with the computer because they are writing every outlet in the British Isles/U.K. getting things ready to leave the EU. If anyone needs baby-sitters or ESL help (first two weeks are immersion) for wee ones raised in the old language, this squad is ready to make the U.K. Free (and self-governing) again.
