Dr. Hanushek’s research finds that there are substantial differences in teacher cognitive skills across countries that are related to student performance. Dr. Hanushek will soon publish a new academic paper in the Journal of Human Resources on the subject. How can you be taken seriously – you didn’t mention “diversity” once! You say American students rank in the bottom third of the world in terms of math and language. But teacher education today is focused to a significant degree on making sure that the approved attitudes are being transmitted concerning race, class, gender, and the environment.
If you were to rank American students for wokeness, I pretty sure we’d make the top 10% in the world. And we must be doing great in other areas as well. After all, the student grade average at Harvard is an A-.
