    The problem with incorporation is that, if the protections of the Bill of Rights are incorporated, so are the perversions.

    Previous to McDonald vs. Chicago yes, that city would violate my unalienable right to own a gun. I could solve that by moving out of that benighted burg. Now, Chicago has to recognize my right to a gun. Yay. The problem happens when you get a different majority in the court and a brand new interpretation rules the day. If the right to bear arms is a corporate right and only expressible via the National Guard, then where can I move to maintain my freedom?
