What does the Dispatch have against .mp3 files?
Dear David (whom I was very glad to meet when he gave an excellent talk at Cornell in 2019), and Sarah,
The opening 15 minutes on the Imperial College models called to mind the famous joke about Henry James — someone who chewed more than he bit off. One minute would have been enough to say: the original report modeled both mitigation, which the British government had been doing, and suppression, which they are doing now. (OK, there was a useful add-on — Ferguson’s noting in an interview that he did take seriously the damage to health caused by shutting down the economy.)
