Finally, An In-Your-Face Conservative Art Show
Provocative Art 2016 will premiere this Friday at the Lotus Gallery, 511 E. Roosevelt, in Phoenix. Local Ricochet members are invited to attend the free reception, and meet some pretty awesome artists, including Roman Genn and Sabo, who will be talking about their work. Also on hand will be original pieces by the two-time Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist, Michael P. Ramirez.
Ricochet’s very own Editor, Jon Gabriel has promised to make an appearance as well. Below are some examples of their artwork:

So close and, yet, with work and 100 miles, so far!
I am driving from Los Angeles at 5 in the morning!
It is your job, though, no?
It will be great!
That monkey is now my mascot.
Alas, it’s a labor of love, not a job.
See you all there!
Given that my office is at 522 West Roosevelt, it will be an easy visit. See you all there!
Did they create a catalog of any kind, 6’2? I’d like to read about the artists & the pieces in the show.
I can’t wait to read the reviews by the (liberal) art critics!
You have a point there! But at least there’s no way to claim these aren’t great artists. Genn and Ramirez are two of my favorites for years. And I’m happy to get acquainted with Sabo’s work now.
Pretty calm offerings there, considering what the Left offers. Recall the early Dr. Suess political cartoons ? Such similar missives from the Right would surely invoke something other than Micro-Agressions.
Be bold – Ridicule is a powerfull tool, as well as deeply amusing.
Any way to get prints of the exhibits in the show?
This is a great thing, exactly the sort of event that deserves our enthusiastic support. Even if the Right were adept at election politics–which clearly we are not–culture is still the steamrolling juggernaut that has the last word. As Andrew Klavan regularly points out, if we don’t win the culture we’ll never change society.

let me know if there is a link or otherwise where i can but poster prints.
Yes yes yes…Roman Genn does limited print runs and originals (contact him at romangenn.com to request particular pieces). Ramirez sells his original drawings paired with a fine art print of the corresponding color cartoon. The show catalog is coming out soon, but you can view and buy pieces ahead of the show by following the store link at provocativeart2016.com, or romangenn.com. If you have a favorite cartoon by Michael Ramirez, and you want the single fine art print/original combination, please make an inquiry via michaelpramirez.com. He also sells limited copies of his signed book with a custom hand drawn cartoon.
Great art – fun evening. Thanks!
Thanks for coming out, Bob. It was great seeing you!
