Dear Barack: Why Ahmed, But Not Hallel

On September 14, 2015, 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, was arrested at MacArthur High School in Irving, TX, for bringing an alleged fake bomb to school. He claimed that it was a pencil box filled with reassembled clock parts. His teacher thought it resembled a bomb and called the authorities. This led to his eventual suspension from his high school.

Enter the national mainstream media. The story quickly went viral, and led to another soul-searching discussion of how Islamophobic America is (“See Something, Say Something” be damned). #IStandWithAhmed became a worldwide trending hashtag, and tech companies flooded Ahmed with offers of jobs, internships, tours, and other gifts.

Then, two days later, at 12:58 PM, Ahmed got a Willy Wonka golden ticket:

(Please note that his tweet got an monumental 417,171 retweets.)

The President, always ready to shame and guilt America, tweeted “Cool clock, Ahmed” and offered him a chance to visit the White House. Obama, who once famously claimed police “acted stupidly,” and that Trayvon Martin could have been his son, leapt at the chance to indict the country he leads of being racist and Islamophobic.

Lost in the #IStandWithAhmed frenzy was the story headlined “Ahmed’s Sister Admits School Suspension for Alleged Bomb Threat 3 Years Earlier.” Fox News also uncovered the fact that his father pushed 9/11 conspiracy theories online:

[Megyn] Kelly reported that a controversial 9/11 conspiracy theory Facebook post from Mohamed’s father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, first caught her attention.

Reporter Trace Gallagher said it appears the dad operates two different Facebook pages. On his personal page, he reported, the elder Mohamed wrote about how “killing without rightness” is prohibited by Islam. But there’s also apparently an Arabic Facebook page that also appears to be run by Elhassan Mohamed.

“There’s also an Arabic Facebook page for the National Reform Party, a political party started by Elhassan Mohamed, bearing a similar profile picture and address,” Gallagher explained. “Only, this webpage is much more active and the tone is very different, including a 14-minute conspiracy theory clip on the 9/11 terrorist attacks and a post that shows the smoking World Trade towers, describing as a U.S.-sponsored hoax to launch a world war against Islam and Muslims.”

No matter. Obama got to insult his own country and the media made a folk hero out of someone who later moved to Qatar and, with a scholarship from the Qatar Foundation for Education, went to Qatar Academy. Last week, he and his family returned to the United States.

Kevin Williamson precisely summed up the incident for National Review:

Mohamed’s father says that his son was mistreated because the incident happened a few days after the annual commemoration of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks, and because his name is Mohamed. The story immediately became ubiquitous not because of what actually happened — boneheaded as that was — but because it can be used to further a story that the media already want to tell: that the United States is morally corrupt and irredeemably racist; that Muslims are under siege; that “white privilege” blinds the majority of Americans to the corruption at the heart of everything red, white, and blue. Muslim kid meets paranoia in Texas is A-1 copy; NRA-wearing kid meets paranoia in West Virginia, not so much.

On June 30, 2016, 13-year-old Hallel Ariel was stabbed to death in her bed by a 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist. Her only crime was sleeping. The murder, which shocked Israelis and which Palestinians celebrated, was barely a blip on worldwide social media. In an increasingly anti-Semitic and Jew-hating world, a savage murder of a sleeping teenage girl barely moves the needle.

Remember that President Obama tweeted to Ahmed at 12:58 PM, two days after his incident.

I am writing this article at 12:58 PM, two days after Hallel was slaughtered. There has been no tweet from @POTUS. I didn’t expect one, and knew I would be writing this article. It is still gross to see what subjects the President uses his bully pulpit to draw attention to, in attempts to shame America.

Not even the fact that Ariel had dual American and Israeli citizenship causes our President to use a single keystroke to condemn her murder. A murder by a Palestinian. I have long contended that Obama is always on the wrong side of issues and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is Exhibit A. He hates Israel, despises Benjamin Netanyahu, and has little to no use for Jews. A condemnation of Hallel’s murder might anger the Palestinians, and Obama can’t have any part of that.

Sadly, President Obama can’t invite Hallel Ariel to the White House, and he certainly won’t invite her parents.  That coveted invitation is saved for parents unworthy of the invite…

    Why?

Because Obama is an idealogue. He will push any narrative to further his agenda.

He was born a muslim but who knows if holds to any religion today. (whether or not he still is a muslim you can decide for yourself but I would encourage you to read Daniel Pipes here and here – he is more credible on this than I am). It is in his blood to hate Israel.

It is hard to pin down his ideology other than Obamism: he’s right and you’re wrong.

He is an evil person. The words are harsh, but they are true.

Half the country doesn’t see any of it, only in part because the press ignores  one and not the other.    The dominant phobia in this country is America phobia or maybe truth phobia.   It is a form of political insanity, a disease apparently incurable  and highly contagious.  And that of course is my phobia.

The entire situation goes beyond infuriating. I have no doubt that history will judge him, and that he will be found to be exactly what we know him to be, an antisemite, a racist, a leftwing ideologue, and the worst mistake the American people have made to date in terms of those they put in the White House. I am not sure that either of the two contenders to replace him won’t prove to be as bad or, if possible, worse.

One can tell a lot about a person by the company he keeps, the people that he admires, and the martyrs he reveres.

Mr. Obama is a man-child, petulant, and a narcissist. He is the progeny of the leftist radicals of 60’s. The leader of the Choom Gang as a young man, skating his way through life.

Unfortunately he is not alone. Those that voted for him are kindred spirits. They all have intellects a mile wide and an inch deep, just like Mr. Obama.

Barack Obama was smart enough to con the American people into electing him twice to the presidency.  This was done through a large dose of white guilt, an ability to give a speech and a smooth comforting manner.  Without these things Barack Obama would have been just another Al Sharpton.  It’s so obvious that he holds half of the country in total disdain, it barely raises an eyebrow.

Just so that we don’t forget, if memory serves the kid brought the very bomb-resembling display to school and showed it to a teacher.  That teacher told him to put it away, that it was inappropriate and looked like a bomb. That he would get into trouble with the administration if he continued to show it around.

The kid continued to show it around until he finally got a reaction, then the rest happened.

And it turned out that the thing was hardly innovative in any way, simply a store-bought digital clock taken apart and displayed in a box to look as much like a bomb as possible. There was no “science”, just what any of us could do with a screwdriver and ten minutes.

Just didn’t want that part left out of any retelling.

He’s not our president.  He hates America. He’s on the jihadists’ side. Is this not abundantly evident?

Because Obama’s only enemies are domestic political enemies.  Even there is no political angle, I doubt a million dead people would get his attention.

I have so had it with  this bozo.

You watch: when he leaves office he’ll go to the UN where he can sit among the representatives of the  human rights abuser nations and condemn America.

And l’il Mohammed?  He and his family should not have been allowed back in here.  They made their choice. And good riddance.

So, the “absent” GOP that should have seen through this existential threat could not be bothered.  They decided long ago to simply accept treason and destruction because they were not ensured a smooth win.  Or a victory at all.

But by refusing to engage, the butt-licking cowards ensured defeat.

Reasonable people refused to speak of such things, and soon, will be forced to shoot about it instead.

No, Obama would be shaking his head and clucking his tongue saying “Look at what these racist Islamophobes have done to poor Mohammed. He’s forced to bring a gun to school to defend himself.”

Anybody else notice the parallels between Ahmed Mohamed and actual terrorists?

Like Omar Mateen, daddy is a worthless piece of garbage who fancies himself president of one of the world’s worst countries.

Like the Tsarnaevs, he had a malign female influence (his older sister vs. momma Tsnarnaev).

Like all of them he returns from abroad with a new found appreciation, not of the US, but of Islam.

    What could possibly go wrong?

I read news accounts of a kid being suspended for biting his pop tart into the shape of a handgun. Another kid was suspended for pointing a tiny Lego gun (one half inch long; one eighth inch thick) at a student. Don’t those accomplishments make America great, too?

I think the President only uses his access to the media in order to advance his political agenda. Today’s Israel, with its immense accomplishments in science, technology, and the arts, doesn’t serve any political purpose for him because President Obama, and the Democratic Party, take Jewish votes for granted, and because liberal Jews feel alienated from Israel because it is tilting right.

In this particular case, the girl was murdered in her home on “the West Bank,” a location which would not have helped the “optics” if the president had used his personal access to the media.

So the murder of an innocent girl is condemned “in the strongest possible terms” by State in a formally-worded statement, but sadly the White House media machine, which is all about politics, doesn’t touch it.

The murder of an American citizen in “the West Bank” does not merit the President’s public acknowledgment. Don’t expect any more from Hillary Clinton.
