It’s all crazy martinis today! Join Jim and Greg as they break down the criticism of First Lady Jill Biden after her cringeworthy pandering to Latinos in Texas. They also the growing evidence that the story of a 10-year-old girl being raped and denied an abortion may be pure fiction. And they groan at the calls for Tucker Carlson and Jon Stewart to run for president – which Stewart is thankfully rejecting at this point.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss two-thirds of Democrats now wanting a Plan B in 2024 as President Biden’s approval numbers keep getting worse. They also discuss the massive upheaval in Sri Lanka and how the economic chaos there may well be repeated in other nations. And they shake their heads as the mainstream media treats Shinzo Abe gets more critical coverage in the media than evil figures like Baghdadi or Soleimani.

Join Jim and Greg as they recoil at the horrific assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and discuss why he was such a valuable U.S. ally. They also welcome better than expected job growth in June. And they wonder if New York Democrats learned anything from the Supreme Court decision as they pass new hurdles for residents to get concealed carry permits – including submitting their social media accounts for an evaluation of their character and conduct.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three bad martinis but still manage to have fun with them. First, they discuss the resignation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, what he did and did not accomplish while in office, and where he stacks up on the list of recent prime ministers. They also fume over reports that President Biden shipped five million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to countries in Europe and Asia. And they break down reports that China is already taking steps to invade Taiwan and meddle in U.S. elections.

Join Jim & Greg as they dissect new polls showing that inflation, gas prices, and other economic issues are the top concern for for more than three of every five Americans. They also welcome news that Florida leans increasingly to the right as GOP voter registrations dwarf the numbers put up by the Democrats. And they’re a bit stunned to hear Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kinney admit that he’s looking forward to the day he’s no longer mayor.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the Supreme Court marshal urging state officials in Virginia and Maryland to protect Supreme Court justices and stop protests outside their private homes. But they do wonder why it took her almost two months to do this. They also get a kick out of California Gov. Gavin Newsom trying to claim there is more freedom in California than in Florida in his laughable attempt to troll Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. And they fume as yet another mass shooter littered the internet with his fascination with other mass killings.

As the United States celebrates 246 years since we declared our independence, Jim and Greg each list three things they love about America.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the second amendment conversion of a New York liberal who now sees the value of a gun for self-defense and how restrictive laws don’t keep weapons away from bad guys. They also cheer the news that many environmental activists are packing up and leaving D.C. after Thursday’s Supreme Court decision on the EPA. And they sigh as President Biden tells Americans they will be stuck with high gas prices until Ukraine defeats Russia.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the Supreme Court decision declaring that bureaucratic agencies like the EPA don’t have the power to make sweeping policy changes – that power belongs to Congress alone. They also slam President Biden and other Democrats for pushing limited suspension of the filibuster to pass legislation to codify Roe v. Wade and pass the left’s attempt to federalize elections. And they have some fun with Vice President Kamala Harris insisting Biden will run again in 2024 with her as his running mate and then later saying he intends to run

Join Jim and Greg as they follow up on the Colorado Senate race and how Democrats wasted $4 million trying to influence the GOP primary. They also discuss Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony before the January 6th committee and how two Secret Service agents strongly deny her account of President Trump’s behavior after the rally that day. And they welcome the sentence of Epstein madam Ghislaine Maxwell but lament that the many clients who violated underage girls will apparently face no consequences whatsoever.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome news that Democrats are getting increasingly worried about Senate races in Washington and Colorado. They also groan as Hillary Clinton re-emerges to spuriously claim Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is on some sort of lifelong grievance crusade. And they break down AOC’s call for abortion clinics on federal land in red states.

Join Jim and Greg as they’re thrilled to see a significant shift in suburban voters from the Democrats to the GOP. They also react in horror as USA Today opinion writer David Mastio not only reveals that he was forces out of a job for saying that only women could have babies but that the whole Gannett network is catering to a woke ideology that has no interest in a diversity of opinion. And they discuss the bipartisan yawning over Biden’s call for a federal gas tax suspension and the hypocrisy of lawmakers like Washington Sen. Patty Murray, who hated the idea when a Republican was president but now supports it when Biden is in office and she’s up for re-election.

Join Jim and Greg as they break down the monumental U.S. Supreme Court ruling overturning the Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey decisions that had declared a constitutional right to an abortion. They welcome the ruling as being correct from a constitutional perspective and for the good it will do in saving lives.  They also note that not much immediately changes on abortion law and that the 50 states will now determine how they each approach the issue.

In addition, they point out the Homeland Security warning about widespread violence as a result of the ruling, and Jim highlights how the decision of a justice who strongly supported abortion contributed significantly to Friday’s verdict.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the Supreme Court decision confirming that gun owners do not need to “show cause” to get a concealed carry permit. They also criticize four Senate Democrats for demanding Google not include any information on pregnancy resource centers when people search for abortion services. And they wonder why the Biden administration is banning Juul vaping products.

Encyclopedias are supposed to be encyclopedic, so I guess it makes sense that Wikipedia is a news channel. Anyone should be able to look up anything. Still, when I found out, from the main page of Spanish Wikipedia and almost the day it happened, that a former president of Bolivia had been sentenced to 10 […]

Join Jim and Greg as they breathe another sigh of relief that Ron DeSantis is governor of Florida after yet another scandal for Democrat Andrew Gillum, who came within a whisker of winning in 2018. They also shake their heads as Ohio Democrat Tim Ryan is trying to play the “I’m not like those other Democrats” card as he tries to win a U.S. Senate seat – and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly is trying the same lame strategy. But there’s just one problem!  And  they sigh as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen seems to be trying to redefine a recession.

Jim & Greg cheer on the Supreme Court decision that voucher programs must include religious schools if they include private schools. They also slam President Biden over his suggestion that high energy prices are getting us closer to his green energy agenda goals. And they condemn Missouri GOP Senate candidate and former governor Eric Greitens crazy RINO hunting ad.

Hubwonk host Joe Selvaggi talks with Bloomberg Columnist and National Review Editor Ramesh Ponnuru about the reasons for the sustained spike in inflation, its impact on savers and consumers, the possible policy remedies, and the likely intensity and duration of this cycle.

Guest:

Jim Geraghty is back! Join Jim and Greg as they welcome news of Asian voters souring on President Biden in big numbers. They also react to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers differing forecasts on whether we are headed for a recession. And they shake their heads as California gets set to hike gas taxes with prices already at record highs.

Rob Long is in for Jim. Join Rob and Greg as they cheer the energy industry bluntly rebutting President Biden’s pathetic demonization of it by laying out how production, refining, and pricing actually work and how Biden’s vow to end fossil fuels is directly responsible for skyrocketing energy prices. They also slam Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for trying to derail school voucher options for parents. And they look at the left’s creepy war on pregnancy centers.
