Rob Long is in for Jim today. Rob and Greg react to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo doing exactly what Rob said he would do to distract from his many scandals. Then they’re glad to see President Biden’s poll numbers sinking on immigration policy. They also explain how Biden’s “infrastructure” bill appears to include a bunch of Green New Deal provisions, guts freedom to work. And they call out the left’s refusal to acknowledge basic biological reality when it comes to determining a person’s sex.

Rob Long is on for Jim again today. Join Rob and Greg as they cheer states expanding their school choice programs as unions continue to keep public schools closed. They also discuss New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordering faster, preferential COVID tests for family and friends while the rest of New York waited much longer for results. They also shake their heads as San Francisco lefties state that whites and men will not be receiving welfare benefits. And they wrap up with their memories of the assassination attempt again President Reagan 40 years ago today.

Joe Selvaggi talks with Pioneer Institute senior legal fellow Jim McKenna about Massachusetts’ drug prosecution cases resting on evidence produced by badly mismanaged drug testing labs, and the implications for potentially hundreds of thousands convicted on erroneous, tainted, or fabricated evidence.

Certainly not while I was watching him at the end of 60 Minutes, but decades later, I decided that Andy Rooney was blogging before there was such a thing as blogging. And not while I was beholding it but decades later, I decided that Kraftwerk – its sound, its look, its affect – was a […]

After but a few and only brief or tightly controlled interactions with the press, President Biden’s first open press conference rapidly approaches. How open and unscripted it will actually be is open to speculation, and my view is that favored and compliant media outlets and their reporters have been submitting their questions to the administration […]

Join Jim and Greg as they applaud Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for refusing to spend “one red cent” of taxpayer money on Critical Race Theory on the Florida civics curriculum. They also hammer the naked hypocrisy and opportunism of Senate Democrats who constantly tried to filibuster the Trump agenda but now insist it’s an ugly impediment to democracy and equality. And they shred New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for wanting police to confront people who have committed no crimes but may have hurt someone else’s feelings.

Join Jim and Greg as they enjoy watching California Gov. Gavin Newsom admit there will likely be a tough recall campaign against him on the ballot soon.  They also hammer the Biden administration for refusing to allow border security personnel to speak to the media and demanding the press send all inquiries to Washington. And they unload on unserious Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse for alleging the FBI faked its investigation into Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer new polling showing that Cuban voters have swung dramatically back towards the Republican Party and strongly against the Obama-Biden approach to Cuba. Their jaws are also on the floor as New York voters want Gov. Andrew Cuomo to stay in office by a fairly wide margin and continue to think he’s done a great job handling the pandemic –  except for the thousands of nursing home deaths.  And Jim unloads on the notion of European sophistication as 15 countries suspend use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Join Jim and Greg as they note the New York Times and other liberal media grudgingly admitting that Florida did better than lockdown states in fighting COVID and in keeping its economy alive. They also dig into immigration and border policy as the Biden administration finds out governing is a lot harder than coming up with misleading slogans.  And they tee off on dictionary.com as it adds “supposably” as a real word instead of trying to teach people to use “supposedly.”

Jim and Greg celebrate the influence of the 3 Martini Lunch as the New York State Assembly begins an impeachment investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo just one day after we asked why one had not begun. They also react to Pres. Biden’s COVID speech, with a special focus on his implication that his administration deserves the credit for vaccines and his weak goal of when things can open up again. And they have a lot of fun with the possibility of actor Matthew McConaughey running for governor of Texas.

Join Jim and Greg as they marvel at some Democrats conveniently worrying about our massive debt just one day after passing a bloated COVID relief bill totaling $1.9 trillion and eyeing an even more expensive bill in a couple of months. They also discuss the sixth allegation of sexual harassment against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and when state Democrats will move from muttering things about resignation to an actual impeachment effort. And they discuss the mess at the southern border thanks to Biden’s deportation moratorium and stated plans of a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Join Jim and Greg as they hammer the COVID relief provides very little COVID relief but hundreds of billions to irresponsible states and cities and political allies of the Democrats. They also throw up their hands as the CDC and Dr. Fauci are reluctant to let fully vaccinated people resume their lives. And Jim explains why the media ‘s hysterical coverage of Texas opening back up is way overblown.

Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, we’ve heard a lot about anti-Asian racism. From New York to San Francisco, there have been reports of slurs, taunts, and violence. Recently, several horrific attacks committed by young black men against the elderly have caught national attention.

Numerous Asian American activists and political leaders have blamed former President Trump, noting that his use of the terms “Kung Flu,” “China virus” or “Chinese virus” has led to the increase in racism and violence.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the news that the Pfizer vaccine is very effective against the Brazil, UK, and South Africa variants. They also shred the Democrats’ election reform legislation as a federal power grab that weakens the power of states, eliminates key protections, and stifles political speech – and the “principled conservatives” who actually support it. And while the vaccines appear to be working well, they push back hard against the notion of needing a “vaccine passport” to re-enter normal life.

Join Jim and Greg as they chronicle the latest women to accuse Gov. Cuomo of sexual advances. They also shake their heads as Sen. Joe Manchin is already starting to wilt on his promise to defend the filibuster. And they discuss the amount of defense Republicans have to play in 2022 as Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt announces he will retire in 2022.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss even more revelations from the New York nursing home scandal and former Cuomo staffers admitting that working for the governor was like being in a cult. Jim fumes as Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan refuses to accept the Johnson & Johnson vaccines and also because many states and school districts are not keeping track of how many teachers are getting vaccinated. They react to revelations that Barack Obama tried to talk Joe Biden out of running for president in 2020 and they get a kick out of learning the candidate Obama seems to have preferred.

Join Jim and Greg as they cheer on conservative activists trying to sink the nomination of the unqualified and radical HHS nominee, Xavier Becerra. They also roll their eyes as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo claims he had no idea his actions offended any of the women accusing him of sexual harassment, and are disgusted that the media consider this a bigger story than the nursing home scandal. And they react to the revelation that the FBI gave Capitol Police had a fairly detailed warning of what would happen at the Capitol on January 6 but also told them not to take any actions as a result of it.

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss the staggering number of students who fell through the cracks because schools were closed and the impact that could have. They also roll their eyes as Elizabeth Warren and a couple of allies in the House propose a wealth tax, and they discuss why New York Democrats suddenly seem so eager to boot Gov. Cuomo.
