Obama Surges Ahead!

In one poll, at least. He’s way ahead — with a commanding lead — in one key Democratic voting bloc. From the XBiz Newswire:

LOS ANGELES — The adult entertainment industry overwhelmingly favors re-electing Barack Obama to a second term as president, according to the results of a new industry poll conducted by media organization XBIZ.

In spite of being in an era of declining industry revenues due to the glut of free content available online and rampant piracy, the majority of adult insiders side with the Democratic incumbent Obama over the Republican candidate Mitt Romney as the 2012 presidential election on Nov. 6 inches closer. The results are based on responses from members of XBIZ.net, the adult entertainment industry’s top social network.

XBIZ asked industry members: “Which candidate would you like elected U.S. president?”

Of the 339 respondents, 68% say Obama, while only 13% favor Romney. Another 14% would like to see “someone else” in the White House, while 5% responded “I don’t care.”

So there’s that.

This pollster was inspired. Getting an accurate read on the porn industry is probably a lot easier than the public in general.

    They have a lot of …umm… down-time.

Ah, well. It’s one demographic I’m guessing Romney’s okay losing to “someone else.”

Makes sense. The goal of this industry is to see everyone get [expletive]ed, so a vote for Teh Wun is in line with that.

Don’t we need a headline contest for this?

My question is, how long? That is, how long has Rob subscribed to “XBIZ.net, the adult entertainment industry’s top social network”? And is the monthly cost more than a grande latte at the flagship Starbucks? Enquiring minds want to know.

Haha, my thoughts exactly. But I am glad Rob’s mind is stimulated somewhat instead of lying in bed feeling depress.

Now, now let us insure we give credit where credit is due. No one should be allowed to forget who has been working this key demographic on Obama’s behalf.

“Actresses” Tasha Reign and Brooklyn Lee clearly here unable to resist his charm. Selfless man, always willing to sacrifice himself for the higher cause of Team Obama.

Well, Jenna Jameson, who has almost 500 thousand Twitter followers, has endorsed Romney. She tweeted last week, “After watching the debate, my view on how terrible Obama is as a president is now solidified. Romney cracked open the shell of our pres.”

Rob will understand that I learn about Ms. Jameson and her support for the GOP from my RSS feed.

One thing that’s hard to explain to most people is that a person can knowingly and intentionally choose to do something he believes is wrong to do, both before, during and after doing it. Such a person is a hypocrite, but his hypocrisy both confirms his moral convictions while convicting him by admission of violating the same. All men are caught in this trap, but only the honest ones admit it and are redeemed.

Being a prodigious sinner, I can relate to my kind. Being a Christian, ditto. Christians, we’ve got to get better at relating to prodigious sinners.

I’ve thought long and hard about this, and concluded that we’re missing some vital information — what is the trendline? Has Romney’s cut gotten bigger recently? Perhaps Obama has suffered from some shrinkage since the debate…

I also wonder about the methodology — exactly how many times was Chris Matthews allowed to vote for Obama in this poll?

Looks like Obama’s big tent includes everyone from Big Bird to Big [CoC Violation] and Huge [CoC Violation]s

    Talk about strange bedfellows.

That’s the best I can do without putting my membership in jeopardy (and, no, that is NOT a pun).

Anyway, I’m kind of curious to hear from that 13% who support Romney.

Rob, what were you thinking? You produce sitcoms! Of all people you should know an innocent comment isn’t even possible under this topic.

Oh well, I’m off to watch It’s Always Sunny.

Over the long haul, I think Romney’s wooden delivery will gradually win over these entertainers who play such an important role reaching the traveling business class and lubricating the wheels of commerce.
