    Harvard, Tufts (Fletcher?), and Americorps.

Resume building in order to become Director of Counter Terrorism ? A czarina ?

    Is this our Rosa Klemp.

I believe the correct title is “Czarina of Counter-Person-Caused-Disasters”.

perhaps “Spinmeister to Benefit the Anointed One Without Having to Pass Muster With Any of Those Annoying Elected Representatives Over Man-Caused Disasters?”

Perhaps it’s just me, but she doesn’t even look old enough to vote.

Did she wander in from the local High School tour, by taking a wrong turn?

Well, whilst there are Czar crowns to be had, pass one over this way. I am partial to being Crown Prince of Livonia myself.

She’s part of the new Facebook arm of counterintelligence. And Claire when you said “other woman” did you mean “other woman” or, ya know, “other woman”? Its important to have clarity in these matters.

So, as long as we’re identifying the people in the situation room, who are these people ?

    This from Tufts:

“Audrey Tomason worked as Americorps*VISTA and Associate at ACCION International after Tufts. She is attending the Kennedy School’s master’s in public policy program and is scheduled to graduate in 2003.”

    Seriously?

I’m getting a Mary Gross (SNL, 80’s) vibe from her.

Midget Faded Rattlesnake: Sure Audrey’s a she? The name Audrey is either/or, no? Like Dana. Maybe Audrey’s one of those boys who looks like girls.

Anyhow, the snapshot reminds me of Blackadder’s sidekick. · May 3 at 10:50am

She’s a man baby! That’s what Austin Powers would say, anyway… She does look like a gender confused teen.

Michael Leiter is the Director at the National Counterterrorism Center, an Executive office, so in what capacity is this lady the Director for Counterterrorism?

The Executive Office of the President doesn’t have a listing for her position or title, even under the National Security Council page.  A search just produces the same thing to which Claire’s linked above, and a little information on John Brennan, who’s the “Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism”.

That place has more titles than a Shriner’s Temple.

So…who has learned the most from Democrat congressmen in House Appointment Hearings ?

There are 30-40 people like this, operating out of the purview of the press ( as if it mattered ).

Then ask Scooter Libby if it makes any difference as to whose administration is in office.

Gosh I hope that’s ending. The press has abused it’s position for so long that it deserves to lose credibility and revenue.

I hope Audrey does a good job.

Claire Berlinski, Ed.: I remain very baffled by this, and wonder why we’re the only ones asking this question. I mean, “Director for Counterterrorism” sounds like a big job, doesn’t it? I get it that this might be someone who has good reason to have a low profile, but since they’ve released the photo, you have to assume this is not a clandestine employee. Odd lack of media curiosity, especially given that she’s young and pretty, no?  · May 3 at 9:35pm

I love that the Beast story links to this thread.

In this piece about photo editors thoughts on the pic, this was interesting:

Scott Dadich, former creative director, Wired “It’s phenomenal, isn’t it? There’s nothing scripted about this photo. Everyone is purely focused on the matter at hand. And absorbing it, processing it. You can see 10 years of tension and heartache and anger in Hillary’s face. And the woman peeking over the guy’s shoulder? That’s to me the power of the moment. The cramming in. I don’t know who she is. But when you have the nexus of power in the Western world and who is that woman getting to peek in there and share this moment in history? I’m sure she is important but it feels like a stripping down of position here. Everyone is equal.”

Is she one of the non-essential government employees that President Obama was referring to during the White House Correspondent’s Dinner? He did say “you know who you are”
