Truth or Fantasy?

When we look at the fields of psychiatry and psychology, some say those who enter these fields are often the most troubled of our society. In the case of this psychiatrist, I think she didn’t spend enough time trying to get healthy, and she is determined to spread her disease to every person she can reach.

In a story about Dr. Aruna Khilanani, we learn that no matter how many degrees a person has, he or she can become a purveyor of mental illness and hatred. Dr. Khilanani provided a lecture for Yale University, and her sickness was on display for everyone to hear. Bari Weiss received access to the doctor’s talk and you can hear the whole lecture here. Essentially the doctor shared with her audience her unscientific, racist, and hateful attitudes towards white people in general. She felt no need to defend her positions, but instead criticized Bari Weiss, who received access to the taped lecture before the doctor did. Judging from the quality of the recording, it’s possible that it was recorded by someone who attended the event.

To demonstrate that there is no mistaking her unprofessional and distorted views of the white population, these were some of her remarks, including its location on the audio:

This is the cost of talking to white people at all. The cost of your own life, as they suck you dry. There are no good apples out there. White people make my blood boil. (Time stamp: 6:45)

I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their body, and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step. Like I did the world a [expletive] favor.  (Time stamp: 7:17)

White people are out of their minds and they have been for a long time.  (Time stamp: 17:06)

Many of her statements about white people were aside from the fantasy she shared, so she can’t legitimately say that her views came out of that fantasy.

Aren’t you appalled by the color of her language (for which I had to edit)? And should a medical professional be sharing her disturbed fantasies in a public forum?

You might just say that this is the usual Leftist rhetoric from academia. But I found it especially sickening for the following reasons:

  • Her “lecture” was not based on factual information but was simply a Leftist diatribe. Since she represented herself as a medical professional, I wonder what her colleagues thought of her remarks?
  • She is teaching people who will be working in the medical world. Do you think she represents the kind of medical professional that we want in our society and do you think her ideas will be helpful to future medical professionals?
  • Do you think she is helpful to the people she treats who are struggling with identity issues?
  • What about the medical oath, “Do no harm?” How would you assess her teaching in terms of her helpfulness and maturity? Is she teaching anything that will better prepare her students for working with members of society? With working with those who are white?
  • What about the people she is teaching who are not white? Will her propaganda allow them to work at least dispassionately, or more importantly empathically, with people who are white?

I would like to think that Yale will not let her comments stand uncontested. But then maybe they will be cowed like so many other college administrators.

Her presence in academia is a travesty.

Or worse. They may not need to be cowed.

That would be my guess, if they had her speak to begin with.  They couldn’t have been totally ignorant of what she would say.

Funny, that infamous abortion “doctor”, Kermit Gosnell, who destroyed so many black babies (and mothers) was black.

Or, as the MSM says, just another “inconvenient truth”.

A purely local story, nothing to be broadcast on the national networks.

Bari Weiss has come good.  She’s done journalism and interviewed Khilanani. Which is interesting, and from which:

BW: Do you think white people should feel guilty?

AK: No, I think guilt is the most useless emotion on the planet. What function does it serve? It’s not helpful.

edited to add: Weiss published an interview by Katie Hertzog.

Then, what?  White people should just crawl off to the side of the road, die quietly, and leave the world to POC?

I’ve seen pictures of this Dr. Khilanani. Does she have a mirror in her possession? She should take a good, long look in it, long enough to notice that, in the eyes of the average man on the street, she’s White. Really White. Whiter than I am. And, there’s a good Roald Dahl style short story to be made of her giving the lecture about hating Whitey, then getting held up and shot at a gas station by a young Stokely Carmichael-wannabe whose last words to her are “die White Oppressor” or something to that effect. Maybe I shall write it.

As do I, @quickz. Yes, we need to avoid to brush these events off as just another bad demonstration. When they get this horrible, we need to make sure that others know these have become acceptable to the radical Left. And they are intolerable to us.

She is out of her lane. As a woman (I apologize in advance for presuming sexual identity) of Middle Eastern origins she is expected to express hatred for all Jews and the US Govt but hating or urging the killing of all whites is the assigned role of performatively angry African-American faculty.

People like her were once hired for their titillation value. Making white libs feel guilty helps them advance the narcissistic fantasy of discarding their cultural, national and religious heritage to become transcendent beings. These entertainers were never supposed to be taken seriously or get hold of departments but somehow the whole project is out of control and the right sort of chap is getting purged or officially embarrassed.

I hate that our institutions are crumbling but I kinda like the increasing distress of the enlightened ones.

I find it difficult to believe that the general insanity isn’t being systematically fostered but the folks behind it can’t be the same idiots, like this professor who make insane  noises.  It’s obviously not Biden but are Pelosi or Schumer capable?  How about Obama and his team?  Perhaps.  But who’s going to win?  We all know the answer  so why do we not concentrate on them?

I don’t know if it’s clear or not, @iwalton. This propaganda is so pervasive that it’s hard to know where to start. But I think we are making small but powerful inroads. This morning I heard that trucks with billboards attacking CRT are circulating near NYC schools! Now that makes a powerful statement!

Then her rant channel should be about colonial legacies, the lane plowed by Said. There is a definite script everyone should follow in Wokedom according to their race & ethnicity.  Ad libbing and stepping on other people’s lines is a no-no in a scripted social order. Free exchange without identify limits is only permitted in a free society and such freedom is racist by definition.

The Guilt Channel.  That is where I am required to pretend to be in a state of penitent self-loathing when in fact I am shedding my connections to history, culture, race, nation, and religion to become an entirely transcendent being who looks after non-white people who cannot transcend because they have never sinned.  They are forever victims dependent on my spiritual ascendancy for their well-being. My enemies are the white muggles who are evil and racist and want to drag me down to their debased plane of existence.  I may sound deeply pathetic but actually, I am on an ego trip that could make Napoleon or Caeser envious.

The black critics of the 1619 project seem as knowledgeable if not more so than the white critics Zafar. @Old Bathos, I suspect that many lefties secretly think that whites are superior because of how easily they can oppress everybody.

The study will find that racism caused both the politics and the crazy and the crazy is not really crazy because anti-racism cannot be crazy by definition.  How many fingers am I holding up, Winston, what color are they and why does your answer prove you are a racist?
