The Insurrection Story Is Falling Apart
Thousands of hours of video from the Capitol on January 6 have not been released. This article from yesterday’s American Greatness may show why. The protestors negotiated the terms of their entry into the Capitol. It does not appear to have been violent. And in an insurrection, the armed revolutionaries would seize the media and the major government buildings. Nothing like that happened on January 6. Let the government release all the videos so that they can be studied in detail.

I think there are too many tapes, opportunities to copy, and too many people involved for them to completely disappear. There are still plenty of conservatives in law enforcement.
Then the left will scream about how they’re obviously fake due to “chain of custody” the same thing they deny when it comes to elections.
Sheryl Atkinson has not been able to find out who from the federal government illegally accessed her computer. I wouldn’t bet on having conservatives in the right place to preserve the evidence. Note that McConnell could have insisted that the tapes be released but instead attacked Trump.
This is a valid point, but it involved just one victim and possibly a very small number of government actors. The January 6th protest had tens of thousands of people, many of whom filmed the proceedings on their cell phones.
I don’t mean just politicians (though by saying Republicans, it appears as though that’s what I was talking about). I meant to also include the permanent leviathan that is our federal government. DOJ, etc etc

I agree. Expecting those tapes to be released is like expecting J.F.K.’s brain to turn up. What really leaves me sick and frightened, isn’t that though. What the people in power also deliberately did, I think, is to so stigmatize people who were at the Capitol that day so that other people who were there quickly stopped coming forward with cell phone videos that, in great enough number, might show the official story to be false. (They remembered, perhaps, that it was all those different cell phone videos that dismantled the media’s lie the year or two before about the Covington kids.) People are afraid to have it known they were there. Never mind showing their cell phone videos.
Maybe someone could offer to collect them anonymously.

But if their videos exonerate them, show that the actual thing was nothing like it has been reported, wouldn’t they be motivated to come forward with whatever they have? Couldn’t they say they were there and proud of it?
The individuals aren’t going to take the risk involved in trusting the collection of the videos. Never mind the risk that enough videos will be collected to prove that the disorderly and riotous behavior was no where near what people like Pelosi made it out to be, and that the behavior of people within the Capitol police was suspiciously like entrapment. In other words, the media and people like Pelosi have deliberately made it dangerous to be seen as associated with the protest and Capitol trespass in order that people who were there would rather just avoid calling any attention to that fact even though it means letting the media and the rest of the Left get away with the second big lie after the election rigging.
That’s why I said anonymous. If the people were taking video, that means the video wouldn’t show themselves.
Sure. How do you get people to trust enough to give someone their videos ? Don’t get me wrong: If anyone has a plan for collecting such information on what happened that day, I’d be happy to donate 75 dollars to the cause of getting the info collected (even with my better half squawking that I’m sending us to the poorhouse and cutting up my credit card afterwards.) I think it’s very important to find out what really happened, even if the truth isn’t all that exonerating to the trespassers and protesters.
“Mostly peaceful demonstration”, certainly not a “riot”. Nothing burned, nobody got a free tv, and the only person killed was a white woman veteran, and the woke believe in the death penalty for them. “Due process” is not for white people!
Due process is not for any people of any color who are seen by the current power elite as a problem for them.

I think some of you people are selling Trump supporters short. You are making them out to be scared little rabbits who will run away and hide. I think most Trump supporters, especially the ones who showed up for the D.C. rally on January 6th, are made of sterner stuff. If they are as timid as y’all are making them out to be, then we don’t have any hope at all. You might as well just give up.

He admits to being there, circling the building taking pictures.

It is amazing. The Democrat machine is actively hunting Trump supporters. The GOP pouncing to defend them is …. crickets….. and people wonder why Trump’s base is not nut hugging the GOP.
Meanwhile for a year the Dems have been burning cities and I see very little about anybody actually being hunted down or jailed….

Between the wild spending, the surge at the borders, inflation, and toxic wokeness, the Democrats are setting themselves up for a thumping in 2022. An ABT (“Anybody but Trump”) could very well win in 2024. Democrats are confusing a revulsion with Trump with an embrace of Democrat positions. That could be a fatal error.
I only want to keep Trump and his most hardcore supporters sidelined. But I don’t want to sideline 99% of the 74 million, like my physician brother and sainted mother, who voted for Trump.
