The Insurrection Story Is Falling Apart
Thousands of hours of video from the Capitol on January 6 have not been released. This article from yesterday’s American Greatness may show why. The protestors negotiated the terms of their entry into the Capitol. It does not appear to have been violent. And in an insurrection, the armed revolutionaries would seize the media and the major government buildings. Nothing like that happened on January 6. Let the government release all the videos so that they can be studied in detail.

The government won’t release the tapes, I think, ever.
They have something to hide. I’d love to hear someone, say a lawyer, come explain why they have not released them for legal reasons.

This is why we need a 9/11 type of Commission to do a full and fair evaluation of the 1/6 Capitol Riot, which I stopped calling an insurrection after getting feedback from my fellow Ricochetti in March.
We have to wait until 2024 for the tapes to be released under the new Republican administration.
There is no way a government commission is capable of anything but a whitewash and cover-up. Keep in mind, these are the same people who squeal like stuck pigs when state election audits start hovering overhead.
I find it unlikely there will be a Republican administration again in our life times. The Democrats are consolidating their power. They thought they had it done in 2016 but Trump slipped by because he plays like a Democrat. That mistake will not be allowed to happen again.

I have been hearing this for at least 12 years now, with the advent of Barack Obama. It is a liberal pipe dream.
How does concealing the tapes of peaceful activities by protesters on January 6th help the Republican narrative?

There are more than a few Republicans who were happy to see the back of DJT. If the current Jan 6 stays in place, it’s easier to keep DJT and his supporters sidelined.

He won’t. All of the true journos have moved on to writing cultural puff pieces, Biden slams, and hard hitting articles like demanding vaccine makers retain their intellectual property.
They’re also busy trying to downplay the Maricopa county audit and painting other false narratives to support the other things they were wrong about. That’s probably a full-time job.
