That’s terrible but kinda brilliant. I suppose the same people who applauded Greta Thunberg’s apparition won’t be as moved by this, but what if there were more attention on children making the case for themselves on why they’d like to be able to get back to life? Maybe that could knock some sense into people.

Does Canada have the same teachers unions who are keeping the schools closed, as the US has?

I regretfully comment,  that my son, a fully indoctrinated liberal HS teacher, and a former Rush babe, fully vaccinated,  virtuously proclaims: “we can’t have in class teaching because some of these kids are raised by their grandparents… what if some of them die because we had in person teaching?”

Reagan fired the air traffic controllers who would not come to work. There are a lot of young folks with teaching degrees working other jobs and considering themselves fortunate when they can get a subbing gig. We could use a man some men like Ronnie today.

I love my son, his beautiful wife (very much of white privilege) and the two grand munchkins.  I would also very much support them being fired ala air traffic controllers. It is despicable what the teachers are doing to the this generation of kids, both with their critical race training (which my son endorses) and their refusal to teach in person, because “reasons”.

So they cancel in person school and the grandparents, like us, homeschool them while the parents work.

Public sector unions should be illegal.

With every podcast I listen to it become more and apparent that the wheels are coming off this delusional cart. The reality is that I have been maskless with the exception of the times I have had to wear a mask to enter a grocery store, get a haircut, or see my doctor. I haven’t worn a mask outside or anyplace else that didn’t require one for entry. That has been the same since the beginning of this idiocy. I have remained healthy throughout the last 14 months despite riding my bike on roads and trails which I shared with innumerable drivers, walkers, and bicyclists. I am sure that there was some real reason for being cautious, but not to the extent that has been imposed on the total population. Technically, at 76, I am among the most vulnerable. Last summer in the midst of the worst of the pandemic I had a crew of workers in my house tearing out water damaged materials. Later my son was here for days redoing all of the damaged areas. My neighbors and I meet regularly without masks and without distancing. My neighbor’s mother-in-law died last week from cancer. I seriously wonder if her death was added to the list of Covid victims, because almost all of the reported deaths from Covid for months now have been people in that age group, 60-100 years old, who die of a variety of causes regularly.

It is time to say, Enough! It is time to tell our “betters” to stuff it. Kids need to be back in school full time, and in camps during the summer without wearing masks. Theaters need to be reopened. Life needs to return to normal. If you have, like me, been fully vaccinated, or if you had Covid already you shouldn’t need to be concerned. If you choose to not be vaccinated, then you can live with the consequences. One way or the other, this garbage needs to end.

We should not be persuaded by the wisdom of children, because children are not wise. They’re children. Adults should make decisions.

Having said that, the child’s view in this instance happens to correspond with the wise view. The adults who decided that children should be sacrificed for the comfort and security of their teachers have made a terrible and foolish choice.

As James observes, public sector unions should be illegal. Union schools don’t serve children or families well; and, as we can see, when an excuse is presented, they don’t serve them at all.

Those who’ve accepted the notion that a government entity lets you do something have already accepted tyranny. It will take a generation or more to undo this thought perversion.

I don’t think the child is being wise necessarily just honest about how he or she feels.  The adults should be making decisions to improve and enrich the lives of children; however, they are more interested in there own petty comforts and power.   We have the most dishonest, despicable, and foolish elite in human history in the West today.  We will pay dearly for this.  The people arrayed against the west are serious as a heart attack and will not let us come out of this insanity before grinding us under their boot.

From your mouth, to Dictator Inslee’s ears.  He is evil, as are the Health Nazis who run the state.  It’s the small businesses that suffer if they admit customers without masks-they could lose their business license or incur huge fines.  It has been happening everywhere, since they have been made the “enforcers” of the mandate.

I don’t think that Pierce County is as bad as King County, but the daily “report” on the number of new cases and deaths simply has no credibility. They seem almost joy filled by the large numbers, 200+ new cases per day.

Just heard an incredible bit of nonsense from a Seattle Public School teacher, obviously black, telling us how hard teachers are working since the lockdown, all paid for by the WEA (Washington Education Association). What a big steaming pile of bovine superabundance!

As to Inslee,  I don’t really acknowledge his existence. He doesn’t have any direct effect on my life, at least none that I have noticed, but there is on doubt that at the top of the pyramid of morons running the soviet socialist republic of Washington there sits a mindless buffoon who has disproven the Peter Principle by rising way, way beyond his level of incompetence.

Then for those kids you teach remote.

    Next question?

No. Remote teaching has destroyed an entire generation of poor kids. I read it right here on Ricochet.
