Our News Media Is Not on Our Side

Joe Biden says guns are dangerous, so I would never own such a thing. But I sat on my back porch this afternoon to not clean some guns that I don’t own, and as I spread the local newspaper out to soak up the oil that I wasn’t using, I saw an interesting headline: “Domestic extremism on rise in America.” It was not on the opinion pages. This ‘news article’ had the following remarkable opening paragraph:

Domestic terrorism incidents have soared to new highs in the United States, driven chiefly by white-supremacist, anti-Muslim and anti-government extremists on the far right, according to a Washington Post analysis of data compiled by the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Wow. That’s remarkable. So Joe Biden gives a speech and says something stupid which is an obvious lie. Last year, dozens of people died in riots sponsored by Black Lives Matter and Antifa, who burned cities across the country all year long. But our real problem is white supremacists who nobody has ever seen. Ok, Joe, whatever. But when Trump said something of questionable validity, or even something that was obviously true, media “fact-checkers” would have ridiculous articles out in a matter of hours, which would vaguely question something he didn’t even say, and give him “four Pinocchios.”  But Biden lays out a whopper, and the media immediately jumps into action. They don’t just ignore his lies, but they try to substantiate them. Wow.

But it’s worse than that.

I looked at the date on the Hoppe’s oil stained newspaper on my table: April 25, 2021. It’s a local paper, with a reprint of this article from the Washington Post. So perhaps the Post article was published the day before? No – I looked up the online original article in the Washington Post – April 12, 2021. So my local paper picks up this story a couple of weeks later, but still just before Mr. Biden’s speech before Congress.

But the story was written a couple of weeks before Joe Biden’s speech in Congress where he claimed that the greatest terrorist threat we face is domestic white supremacists (translation: Republicans). So the media not only tries to ignore or substantiate lies told by Democrats, but they actively lay the groundwork for them ahead of time, to prep the public for what the Democrats are about to lie about.

This is powerful stuff. You just can’t buy this type of marketing. The article was accompanied by two pictures of middle-aged, overweight black people, a man in one, a woman in the other, standing in front of their churches. The black man’s church was burned in 2015. It still has not been repaired. He looks sad but defiant. Alone but strong. The picture was taken from a low camera angle – the photographer must have been laying on the ground – to make him loom over the viewer. Powerful. And the woman is sitting at the front of her sanctuary, looking worried. Outstanding photography, with a powerful visceral response. Top-level stuff.

The man’s church was burned six years ago. The woman claims that there were three fires and cars vandalized by her church. In 2015. So she’s “always on high alert.”

I found it fascinating that in both cases, the article briefly acknowledged in paragraph 132 or something, “…no suspect was caught…” But the whole article is about white supremacists, and there are two spectacular pictures at the top of black ministers in front of damaged churches. But, buried in the middle of a huge article, they casually mention that they don’t know who did those things?

Eh, whatever. It was probably white supremacists. Yeah, that’s it. You know – Republicans.

I’m not suggesting that there are no white racist loser idiots out there. But I am suggesting that in poor sections of certain cities, it’s not that unusual to have cars vandalized and buildings burnt. And not just near churches. These are dangerous neighborhoods. And it’s generally not white supremacists. In some of these neighborhoods, there are no white people of any kind. It’s generally kids from the local neighborhood. Gang members, sometimes. Or more recently, Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Hard to say, exactly, when the police are not allowed to arrest people in these neighborhoods.

But they’re not Republicans.

Democrats have decided that debating policies with Republicans was not working for them. So they have elected to convince people that Republicans are simply pure evil. Which probably wouldn’t work, unless social media and news media helped wholeheartedly. Which they are.

This strategy will probably help Democrats win elections. But it will also lead to violence. It already is, actually, as you can see by watching the riots raging across America for the past year.

But those don’t count. Literally. They don’t count those deaths.

Our media have lost interest in covering the news. Their job is to act as the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party.

They used to deny it. But now, the media is very open about their intentions. They no longer make any effort to cover it up.

I mentioned in a recent article how my Ukrainian barber was amazed that we could have the big-government party coordinating with the news media coordinating with the major corporations coordinating with the educational establishment coordinating with the entertainment industry coordinating with social media coordinating with the FBI and other federal bureaucracies, and Americans seemed unconcerned.

Does your blood not run cold?!?” She’s a bit touchy about this sort of thing. But growing up in Ukraine, she’s seen this type of thing before. And she knows how it ends. She lost an uncle and a grandfather to the Russians. She knows how this ends. And she just can’t believe that those “soft, stupid Americans” are just watching it happen. Apparently unconcerned.

I’ll conclude this article the same way I’ve concluded several articles recently:

This is getting scary.

That’s their news media, not our news media. But why does it take an “analysis” in order to tell their people about all these things white supremacists have done. Why didn’t they report on them when they were news?

Dr. Bastiat: …unless social media and news media helped wholeheartedly. Which they are.

One of the best places to look for this kind of groundwork is among the top stories on the Yahoo Finance front page. (I know this because I habitually check it at 8:30 every morning as a quick read on the market.) I have since deleted them but I was tracking their propaganda in late December and early January when I noticed a series of stories on how there really was no down side to Biden cancelling $50K of everyone’s college loan debt.

    Here’s another one:

Biden administration on track to accept fewer refugees than Trump’s, report says

I’m not sure how I came across it but it shows up at a site called “CHRON.” I have no idea what that is but it is credited to a Amy Wang of the Washington Post. If you do a search on the title you find that a great number of entities picked it up.

Now, if you take the time to read it, it is nothing but an obvious piece of shallow and silly propaganda. The analysis to get to that title is laughably stupid…yes, Any Wang, you are truly STUPID. But it doesn’t matter, the whole point was to push the agenda of some non-entity called the International Rescue Committee and someone named Nazanin Ash, the only source mentioned in the piece. This is not journalism and this is not news. Every “news source” that picked it up…even as “filler” for the back pages… should issue an apology and take a self-imposed week off without pay. Idiots.

And this is different from 99.9% of what we read in daily newspapers ranging from the NYT and WaPo to our local news outlets?

It was already bad but it seems to me that in the past year the media bubble has grown larger and thicker with each passing day.  Of course we know all the usual suspects but knowing doesn’t make it any easier.  They’re stupid; they’re arrogant and they believe they have the right to control us.

With apologies to Doc, I think we’re beyond “scary”.

Fake news is the enemy of the people.  Most commercial news outlets just reprint stories from wire services and thus there are just a few outlets that drive the national narrative.   As for the most dangerous terrorists, there was a guy that went into the Capitol on Jan 6 with a Confederate Battle flag and the rest is narrative generation.    I am very scared.  This was worse than when I was a little kid and I thought A-bombs would destroy my hometown.

Well, consider these gems from an MSNBC “analyst” concerning Senator Tim Scott’s address:

“Scott does not represent any constituency other than the small number of sleepy slow-witted sufferers of Stockhom Syndrome who get elevated to prominence for repeating a false narrative about this country that makes conservative white people feel comfortable…Please senator, say more about how unracist the country is while you trot out that tired line about going from cotton to Congress to clown.”

The “analyst” also slammed Scott’s support of the recent Georgia voting law as his being “thirsty for white approval” and added that he was “embarrassingly on the wrong side of history.”

But did she try to refute any of Scott’s proposals?  Well, not exactly, “(I) won’t argue with people Harriet Tubman would have left behind…”.

Ah, isn’t it refreshing to see first rate journalism?

Promote monogamous marriage instead of promiscuity, porn, or sexbots, and the same thing makes men smarter and more productive. It’s a big part of how we get love poetry, 9-to-5 job attendance, and other good stuff.
