Using the Weapons of the Left Against Them

We are all aware of the Dems bill to “overhaul” voting in ways that they think will benefit them; primarily by legalizing more opportunities for voter fraud.  They take this path secure in the belief that the GOP will not cheat, at least not on the level they will.  While I think we should continue to oppose it for all the reasons already stated, we should also prepare to exploit all the opportunities this will create.  The California GOP recently started following the Dems in using vote harvesting (election cycles behind, but better late than never).  It is believed to have played a helpful role in some of the victories last November by various GOP Congressional candidates.

We need to stop being victims.  Yes, we want the traditional safeguards back in place.  But to do that we need to win electorally, convincingly.  And win with candidates who have the backbone to stand up to the Press/Dem cries of “foul” when we replace their crooked laws.  And then prepare to take on the lefty judges who try to prevent the implementation of reforms.

We can walk and chew gum here.  Decry their approach, prepare to use their approach if it passes, and promise to overturn their approach if elected.  Who knows if they see us threatening to use their tactics against them, they may reconsider…

Naah, they’re not that bright.

The problem is the Left owns the media and the institutions.  If GOP goes crooked then their law will just slam down and the MSM will cry foul.  Just like Trump cheated and won in 2016 and would have cheated again in 2020 if he had won.

We could have already started by suing in friendly courts to stop every one of Biden’s executive orders. We didn’t do that. The Senate has not opposed every radical leftist cabinet nominee. We would rather be losers.

There is that.  They should have started with the election law changes.  Almost makes you think the GOP prefer being the opposition party.

The Republicans are addicted to the many perks of DC life, and would rather ditch us than ditch the perks.  Shows you where their heads are.  We are not people, we are just voters and donors to their campaigns.  Or not.

I have simply thought most of them deeply venal cowards.

The fact that the Legacy Media is a propaganda arm for the Left does not dictate that we give up.  My point is to continually say loud and clear up front: these changes are wrong, but if you put them in we will do everything we can to take advantage of them.  Repeat that over and over, like a mantra.  While the Legacy Media must be managed, we can do so while treating them as the hostile parties they are.  Reminding them in calm, cool tones that they are tools for the Dems at the beginning/end of each interview with them is effective in the long run.  Look at the recent results of surveys for trust in Media.  Both Republicans and Independents have very low levels of trust.  Democrats are high.  It becomes self-obvious that the Media are Democrat Cheerleaders, because only Dems like what they read/see/hear.   Repetition of these facts is our friend.  It will work over time.   A clear, cogent, factual argument does convince those who can be convinced.  We win by keeping at it.  We keep winning, but not stopping.

I will not be demoralized by them.  This is a Psy-Ops campaign they run against us.  Giving up and turning inward is what they want.  Just keep using their tools against them.

Another point is that these authoritarian efforts by the Left betray that in their hearts they KNOW they are wrong.  If they were confident of themselves they would not feel the need for their Cheka-like actions.  Constantly reminding them, that their authoritarian impulses demonstrate they know they are wrong and they are not the future will bear fruit over time.

We are focusing on the audience not the opponent.  Use the Media as a foil, don’t try to convince them.

Some are.  But let’s not mistake tactical retreats for craven capitulation.  I’m not thinking of any particular examples, but just in general.
