The Intersection of Insurrection

The dangerously-named Legal Insurrection site has a piece on the several news stories about the planned March 4 insurrection/riot/black-hole-of-freedom-singularity-event, which, as shocking as this might be to Ricochet readers, never happened. Nothing. Nada. Nil. El Zilcho Taco. From the piece:

In fact, so much nothing happened that the headlines warning of the March 4 armed insurrection read like ludicrous parodies of news.

  • The BBC: “US Capitol police warn of possible militia plot to breach Congress”
  • ABC News: “Capitol Police officials say intel on possible March 4 plot being taken ‘seriously’: QAnon followers believe that Donald Trump will return to power on March 4.
  • USA Today: “Police bolster security at US Capitol as QAnon theory claims Trump will become president March 4”
  • NBC News: “D.C. police, FBI on alert ahead of QAnon’s ‘true Inauguration Day’”
  • CBS News: “House scraps Thursday session after intel warns of potential violence at Capitol”

For the press, this is likely more cover for what’s happening in DC, with the armed troops standing athwart Pelosi’s desk, shouting “Stop” behind two federally-procured Covid masks, and, oh, um, gas masks, so you really can’t hear them all that well.

Meaning, especially if you work in the DC area, that this is all that’s going on in the universe, so it must be covered.  Unfortunately, like a lot of conspiracy theories, the target date for the event just keeps moving when it doesn’t materialize.

This aligns deliciously with the more recent request of our brave souls in Congress, who have requested 2,000 troops to stay another 60 days, in case they might have to have an unplanned meeting with a slobbering prole who somehow wandered into the District.

I have news for our fearless 535: You can’t take over a country built on federalism by sitting at the Speaker’s desk with a goofy hat on. But feel free to cower, as it helps us all see more clearly who you all really are.

Was this a troll job? Admittedly, I dropped out of some of my internet haunts after the 21st, but there was no whisper of this except on of my friends mentioned it to me at Bible study last Tuesday.

If anyone can troll the FEEBS, it’s going to be Trump’s volunteer troll army.

Are you sure Article I of the Constitution doesn’t talk about possession of the podium meaning control of the Legislative Branch?

The Qanon army is as weird as the Blue Anon censoring.

My niece’s boyfriend heard on Clubhouse that the Proud Boys, Bandidos, and Knights of Columbus plan to storm DC on the 10th and install a neocameralist monarchy.

You do have to watch out for those Knights of Columbus, after all, they are medieval Knights with swords and worship the great Indigenous Peoples murderer Columbus.

I just watched this Tucker Carlson clip from his March 5th broadcast earlier today. This segment on QAnon is dripping with sarcasm and satirizes the breathless mainstream media coverage about the group, which explains why most of the results for a search of “Tucker Carlson QAnon” on YouTube are videos attacking him for not taking it seriously, pretending the group doesn’t exist, etc.

About 7:30 into the segment, Carlson cites a Newsweek article in which the author has learned from his source “Ken” that QAnon has changed the date to March 20th. March 4th was a false flag operation to fool the media. It would all be hilarious if it wasn’t costing taxpayers money to keep thousands and thousands of National Guard troops in DC and the Capitol in a hardened Iraqi green zone to protect our beloved politicians, and distract us from the record levels of real violence plaguing cities all over the country.

I couldn’t find the Carlson clip on YouTube (I found one but the poster covered all the graphics with images of Trump to avoid Fox News taking down his video), but it is on Facebook. Hopefully you don’t have to have an account for this link to work:

There is a lot of similar talk like this. The deep state has plenty of tools to make it happen. They have a motive, as well.

After the Mueller investigation and Colonel Vinedmen, I don’t see why Republicans are so trustworthy of that stuff.

I’m sure all their spaghetti dinner fundraisers and community service activities are well-camouflaged military training exercises. :)
