Trump is not going away.  That is the reality.   Trump’s supporters still back him.  Even if you don’t like him or want a different person in 2024 with the same principles, you need to acknowledge the elephant in the room – and that elephant is orange with solid gold tusks.

Also streaming on C-SPAN.org. I will grab and clean up the auto-transcription, generated from the Closed Captioning. That usually posts shortly after conclusion of the address.

The official text may also be posted later at DonaldJTrump.com.

Yes. Connect the dots: Reagan, Tea Party, Trump. Americans want what Washington insiders refuse to honor. At some point this must result in a major party reconfiguration, unless the Left and the GOPe wing of the American Thirty Tyrants, serving the interests of Xi and the CCP, manage to suppress us, as they gleefully celebrate doing in 2020-2021.

One of the best and most courageous speeches he’s ever given!  Oh, we’ve missed him!

Gosh I miss him!  I think this was sort of a State of the Union address (sucks under Biden), which people have been speculating that Biden is not really capable of giving.

I like the fact that he specifically called out several members of the GOPe.The party really needs to clean house. And the Senate too, for that matter.

EDIT: Now that the battle lines are clearly drawn, we’ll see who is on the side of the American people and who is really a member of the GOPe regardless of how he or she spoke in the past.

I’ll go now and check with the propagandists at KCBS to see how “divisive” the speech was.

Yes. He finally understands that he must build a winning party coalition in the First Branch if a MAGA president is to have any chance of successful governing. The call-outs really needed to happen in the 2018 State of the Union address, driving Lyin’ Ryan and his cabal out of the House.

Well, let’s check out the official White House YouTube channel:

    https://www.youtube.com/user/whitehouse/videos

Besides, the low numbers, do compare the thumbs up to thumbs down counts.

(Note that there is evidence that YouTube cooks those numbers toward Biden.)

He didn’t have the gift for gab when he first ran some five (maybe six) years ago but he has become one of the best political speakers I have ever seen.

    Wow.

I came over to ol Ricochet to give a boost to how ridiculously good the latest GLOP was. Haven’t looked at comments in some time. It is something.

From David Axelrod: “Here’s the problem for the GOP. A majority of Republicans love Trump and a majority of Americans really do not.”

Republicans have won one popular vote since 1988. Doubling (tripling?) down on this ain’t it.

I don’t have the answer for Republicans, but I’m certain it isn’t Demo-rat-Lite. Why vote for a weak copy when the real thing is available?

If you’re suggesting that Trump or whoever needs to be more like Biden to win in 2024, I think Django for one pointed out why that doesn’t really work.
