Dozens of House Democrats Want Biden To Give Up Authority on Nukes

Odd that Democrats are seeking to limit the power of their own president.  I wonder why they would do that?

Do they have concerns about President Biden’s ability to do his job, for some reason?  I haven’t seen anything on CNN or in The New York Times that might suggest that he is compromised in any way.  The Democrat Congressprimates didn’t offer any specific concerns about President Biden.  Why are they trying to limit his powers as Commander in Chief?

How odd…

I think they are looking to the USSR for inspiration.

    Politburo of the Central Committee.

I think after Stalin the  General Secretary of the USSR had to make every major decision with Politburo consent.

Dr. Bastiat: I wonder why they would do that?

Because Biden isn’t really the President. He has Nancy’s hand stuck up through his behind manipulating him at every turn. They can’t do a ventriloquist act, because he occasionally escapes and makes a fool of himself in front of the cameras. He can even drop the N word.

Nancy’s hand? I don’t think it’s Nancy. I think Nancy herself has lost control. Or at least her mind. She’s even more bughouse insane than she usually is. Every time she opens her mouth it seems like it’s AOC’s words that come out.

I don’t know who the “real” President is – I’m inclined to think it’s a matter of who out of Obama / Kamala / Xi Jinping / Various Democrat bigwigs has the upper hand at any given time. Not a very nice thought. I doubt if Biden knows what day of the week it is most of the time.

All joking about AOC aside, I think Susan Rice has a lot more influence than we realize.

What I find particularly fascinating is that in the entire four years of the Trump administration during which POTUS was accused of being a Russian stooge, etc., no one suggested anything approaching this. It definitely says something about Biden’s perceived mental capacity. Somehow, I am not feeling particularly assured. This borders on the surreal.

At first blush it would seem like Xi (who apparently has influence over members of congress) wants to preempt any retaliatory strike from the US.

I admire your cynicism ( insufficient as it may be 😊)

    This is madness.

    g

Let’s get a Lawyer, the Attorney General involved.  The legal system is perfect for a fast moving crisis.

Let’s get a congressional committee involved.  They make such swift decisions.

Let’s require a Declaration of War, something we haven’t bothered with since WW2.

This is just a backdoor attempt to remove our nuclear arsenal without bothering to actual disarm.

I saw this last night and it scared the Bejezuz out of me. It means they know that Xiden is impaired to such an extent that he cannot be trusted with sole possession of The Button. So while the argument these Dems put forward makes reference to what they see as the disconcerting behaviors of past Presidents, it is noteworthy that they never made this proposal during the tenure of those past Presidents. But they feel it’s needed now … under this President. Scary indeed.

The 25th Amendment: coming soon to a presidency near you!

I don’t know that. I think it more likely that we are seeing something more akin to “president by committee” — but of course, I don’t know that either.

President by a committee composed of the Obama Administration apparatchiks who couldn’t land a real gig in four years.

I think that many people voted for Biden with the hope that there would be no more “chaos” in our government.  OK, Folks.  How is that working out for you?

Obama is the one really running the show.

Hey, did you hear about the Progressive Trailer company?  They have three models:

    The Andrew Cuomo:  It’s a single-wide because he’s unmarried.

    The Stacey Abrams:  It’s a double-wide because she’s . . . well, she’s fat.

    The Kamala Harris:  It’s a spread-wide . . .

The administrative state is in control. It doesn’t matter whether Biden is a charismatic, genius administrator or a doddering idiot; they run things to suit their own self-interest, and he isn’t going to change that.
