President Biden: American Vets and Police Forming White Supremacist Groups
Joe Biden and Anderson Cooper recently held a CNN town hall in Milwaukee in which Joel Berkowitz (a professor at the local University of Wisconsin Milwaukee) asked him about “…ongoing threats to our country from Americans who embrace white supremacy and conspiracies that align with it. What can your administration do to address this complex and wide-ranging problem?” Black Lives Matter spent much of the last year burning cities across America. This apparently slipped Mr. Biden’s mind, as he answered:
“It is complex, it’s wide-ranging and it’s real. You may — I got involved in politics to begin with because of civil rights and opposition to white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan … And the most dangerous people in America continue to exist. That is the greatest threat to terror in America: domestic terror … And so I would make sure that my Justice Department and the Civil Rights Division is focused heavily on those very folks. And I would make sure that we, in fact, focus on how to deal with the rise of white supremacy … And you see what’s happening — and the studies that are beginning to be done, maybe at your university as well — about the impact of former military, former police officers, on the growth of white supremacy in some of these groups.”
So the President of the United States thinks that the greatest threat of terrorism in America is from white supremacist groups largely made up of American veterans and former police officers. He’s viciously insulting white people, members of America’s military, and police officers in a public forum. On CNN, no less. I wondered if CNN would mention such remarkable claims. So I went to their website.
On CNN’s website, one of the headlines is, “Fact Check: Biden Makes At Least Four False Statistical Claims at Town Hall.” I was impressed that they would mention his slanderous lies, but I wasn’t sure what pretend white supremacists have to do with statistics. So I read on.
The article listed four instances in which Mr. Biden lied about statistics – or at least said something that was not true. Those four inaccuracies were in his answers to questions regarding the minimum wage, undocumented workers, the Chinese workforce, and COVID vaccines. CNN did not fact-check his statements about white supremacy.
The article continues, attempting to provide context for some other lies (or incorrect things) that Mr. Biden claimed were true. But again, it did not mention the passage I quoted above.
A few questions come to my mind:
First, I wonder how many Democrat voters believe Mr. Biden’s claims of the imminent threat from former military and police forming white supremacy groups? Do they really believe that?
Next, I wonder how many of those voters have ever met a white supremacist? I’ve never met one, and I spent 20 years of my life in the mountains of east Tennessee.
I wonder if the residents of Portland and various other cities that burned for months at the hands of Black Lives Matter thought to themselves that perhaps there are threats to their cities other than white supremacists that they’ve never seen.
I wonder if Mr. Biden hesitated to brag about how he was inspired to enter public service by his dedication to civil rights. I wonder if he’s concerned that someone might challenge him on that point. I wonder if Anderson Cooper was rolling his eyes at that moment.
I wonder if Mr. Biden’s advisers took him aside after the town hall and reminded him that insulting a majority of the population is not good politics. If they didn’t remind him of that, it would almost seem as if the Democrats aren’t worried about elections anymore, for some reason.
I could go on, but I won’t. Because to me, the only question that really matters is my first one: How many Democrat voters actually believe Mr. Biden’s statement above? If it’s more than two or three percent, that’s incredible. And horrifying. And I’ll bet it’s a lot more than two or three percent. I’ll bet it’s more than half. I’ll bet it’s a lot more than half.
I really hope I’m wrong.
Because if I’m right, or even if I’m close to being right about the ‘more than half’ estimate, then we have a serious problem. Because if most Democrat voters actually believe that our military, our police, and most Republican voters are white supremacist racist terrorists, then what would those Democrat voters not do to solve the problem of, well, of me?
These people are my friends and neighbors. Is this what they think of me? If it is, then cancel culture and censorship are only the very beginning. Will they resort to violence against me and other suspected conservatives? If not, why not? If they really believe that we’re all racist terrorists, why would they not do everything possible to silence us? By any means necessary?
If I’m close to being right, this could get very ugly, very fast.
Mr. Biden may have just been performing to a liberal crowd, trying to get applause lines. He may not have meant any of what he said. But even if he didn’t, such inflammatory rhetoric is dangerous. Especially in such polarized and partisan times.
I hope that his rhetoric is simply careless, stupid, and reckless. Because if it’s not, then he’s deliberately inciting violence all over the country that he’s supposed to be uniting.
Regardless of his intentions, such rhetoric is extremely dangerous. For us all.
Lord help us.

And everyone else, of every other race, as well.
Unity and happiness are bad for leftists. So they do the best they can to remedy those social problems.
No. It’s important to not let evil people control your words and your freedom of speech. Doing that has led us down this path. We need to stop playing by their race baiting rules.
Yeah. “White Supremacist”, “Hater”, “Homophobe”, “Transphobe”; and any number of those that presently exist or have yet to be invented; as of now, they are controlling the conversation. Someday, somehow, we have to take back the conversation. It doesn’t help that we lost one of our best voices.
Is there a separate genus for those of us are allergic to identity politics?
Sounds like whitewashing to me.
Um, I don’t think he will last that long. Nature calls.
American. They are a weird genus because they are all the same even though they look really different.
Americans are unusual because if the degree of cooperation among genetically diverse tribes. Also, different tribes can join the American genus and immediately become integrated into the genus in a bizarrely fast fashion.
Has anyone here ever met a racist cop or soldier? I’ve been searching my brain and I don’t think I’ve ever met one.
I honestly haven’t met a racist anything (outside of politicians).
Yeah, that too.
Oh, I certainly have. Not lately, though.
How did you know? How did it come up? Can you give a few examples?
Of course I have. And I don’t mean that I think they might have been racist, or that they told a dumb joke. I have met Marines who truly hate blacks. They’re incredibly rare, but you know what? I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution, and that means I support freedom. People in this country and in our military have absolute and complete freedom to have any thought they want to have, and that’s why I love my country.
Now, a person can be as racist as they want to be, but they have to behave properly and they can’t go around insulting people. That’s called having good manners. They can’t be picking on people they don’t like. There are only so many people in a military unit and we have to use them all. Hate the guy, but treat him properly.
They can go off and advocate for whatever philosophical or political position they want. That’s what we are.
What the new political movement is doing is trying to tell us what political views we are allowed to have, and that is evil.
Sure, it’s easy to say racists don’t belong, because they’re bad people. But you know what’s coming next? Banning people who don’t agree with the global warming fraud. They would love to push buttons and explode them, like in those British public service announcements. The socialist justice warriors want nothing less than absolute control of all political discussion and absolute control of us. If we don’t stick up for the right for people to be racists, as odious as that is, the next step of coming after other ideologies will be much, much easier for them.
I’d rather not explain in a public forum. But you can be assured that the information was initiated by others, not me.
Good explanation and good points.
It’s like journalists who tell us they of course have their own political views but it doesn’t affect their objectivity in reporting the news.
Oops. Bad example.
Better example: It’s like journalists of the mythical post who didn’t let their personal views conflict with their reporting, and who let the chips fall where they may. I think there really were journalists who did that, some more successfully than others. But now it’s not even an ideal for them to strive for, so of course they don’t understand how someone can be a racist bigot and still treat people of all races decently and fairly.
So many solid points.
Doctor, you are correct to focus on the premise of the original question – the slippery word “threat.”
One of the head scratchers that came of the assault on the Capitol was that the crowd were “white supremacists.” I didn’t see any outward sign of racist intent there. As far as I know, the crowd was gathered to protest the electoral shenanigans. Biden is pretty pale, so his election shouldn’t stir any racial animus from overwhelmingly white trespassers. So Trump backers are evidently all white supremacists and breaching Capitol security is the threat they pose.
And systemic. Joe, you ARE the system, you’ve been part of it for 45 years. Same for blue governors and mayors. Systemic means I don’t know who’s doing this to me, I am unhappy, so it must be the system. All these systems must look outward for the source of all unhappiness, because looking inward would be painful.
And every race hustler knows better than to acknowledge any progress in race relations over the last 60 years or so. There’s a pretty straight line from physical lynching to the microaggressions that now pass for racism. One is a serious threat and the other isn’t. Further, the people responsible for the dangerous type are pretty much all dead. When President Silver Alert insists that white supremacy is on the rise, he’s lying and he knows it. He might as well be promising to eliminate paper cuts in our lifetime.
Brilliant observation . . .
Time to start pointing out that their fear of us is proof they know they aren’t representing the masses.
Actually EHerring, I am looking forward to the day when everyone is expected to disdain racism. This ongoing denigration of straight white males has become acceptable. If racism is the unholy scourge of our times, it needs to be condemned in all its forms. This comes pretty easily for people who are not racists – think “All lives matter.” Which means a healthy contingent of “anti-racists” who comfortably lecture that white males are the source of all evil are, in fact, racist.
Come to think of it, neither can I. Please explain.
Easy. You can think badly of others but still be polite and fair to them. How hard is that?
What he said.
I am done with those who would accuse my skin color of being an indication I am the second coming of the vile KKK. From now on, I will just tell them that it isn’t my fault they are inferior to me, that it isn’t because of anything I have done to them, but because of what they haven’t done for themselves.
I agree but just go down into the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant and say that. Let us know how that works out for you.
Sometimes, telling the truth can be downright dangerous…
We need to change that, and it won’t change if we don’t insist on it.
Classic Dr. Bastiat. :-)
So much said in so few words. :-)
Agree. However, there are two levels of resistance to that change:
1) The mob.
2) Those who benefit from the actions of the mob.
For my money, level “2” is the more dangerous.
We have to be brave. We need and want freedom. There might be casualties, but the more united we are, the better it will go.
That is, we need to change terms of the debate and not let the shriekers control it.
I want to expand a bit on this. For all my life, men have known how to fight on the same team even though they don’t like each other. Joe is a jerk, I hate Joe, but when those guys over there threaten us, I know Joe is going to fight with us and we with him.
It’s a stereotype, but it’s like we’re letting women control the world. Our society is becoming a bunch catty teenaged girls who won’t have anything to do with Suzy, and you’d better not have anything to do with her or they won’t have anything to do with you.
Of course that’s simplistic and maybe inappropriate, but that’s how it seems to be working.
