President Biden: American Vets and Police Forming White Supremacist Groups
Joe Biden and Anderson Cooper recently held a CNN town hall in Milwaukee in which Joel Berkowitz (a professor at the local University of Wisconsin Milwaukee) asked him about “…ongoing threats to our country from Americans who embrace white supremacy and conspiracies that align with it. What can your administration do to address this complex and wide-ranging problem?” Black Lives Matter spent much of the last year burning cities across America. This apparently slipped Mr. Biden’s mind, as he answered:
“It is complex, it’s wide-ranging and it’s real. You may — I got involved in politics to begin with because of civil rights and opposition to white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan … And the most dangerous people in America continue to exist. That is the greatest threat to terror in America: domestic terror … And so I would make sure that my Justice Department and the Civil Rights Division is focused heavily on those very folks. And I would make sure that we, in fact, focus on how to deal with the rise of white supremacy … And you see what’s happening — and the studies that are beginning to be done, maybe at your university as well — about the impact of former military, former police officers, on the growth of white supremacy in some of these groups.”
So the President of the United States thinks that the greatest threat of terrorism in America is from white supremacist groups largely made up of American veterans and former police officers. He’s viciously insulting white people, members of America’s military, and police officers in a public forum. On CNN, no less. I wondered if CNN would mention such remarkable claims. So I went to their website.
On CNN’s website, one of the headlines is, “Fact Check: Biden Makes At Least Four False Statistical Claims at Town Hall.” I was impressed that they would mention his slanderous lies, but I wasn’t sure what pretend white supremacists have to do with statistics. So I read on.
The article listed four instances in which Mr. Biden lied about statistics – or at least said something that was not true. Those four inaccuracies were in his answers to questions regarding the minimum wage, undocumented workers, the Chinese workforce, and COVID vaccines. CNN did not fact-check his statements about white supremacy.
The article continues, attempting to provide context for some other lies (or incorrect things) that Mr. Biden claimed were true. But again, it did not mention the passage I quoted above.
A few questions come to my mind:
First, I wonder how many Democrat voters believe Mr. Biden’s claims of the imminent threat from former military and police forming white supremacy groups? Do they really believe that?
Next, I wonder how many of those voters have ever met a white supremacist? I’ve never met one, and I spent 20 years of my life in the mountains of east Tennessee.
I wonder if the residents of Portland and various other cities that burned for months at the hands of Black Lives Matter thought to themselves that perhaps there are threats to their cities other than white supremacists that they’ve never seen.
I wonder if Mr. Biden hesitated to brag about how he was inspired to enter public service by his dedication to civil rights. I wonder if he’s concerned that someone might challenge him on that point. I wonder if Anderson Cooper was rolling his eyes at that moment.
I wonder if Mr. Biden’s advisers took him aside after the town hall and reminded him that insulting a majority of the population is not good politics. If they didn’t remind him of that, it would almost seem as if the Democrats aren’t worried about elections anymore, for some reason.
I could go on, but I won’t. Because to me, the only question that really matters is my first one: How many Democrat voters actually believe Mr. Biden’s statement above? If it’s more than two or three percent, that’s incredible. And horrifying. And I’ll bet it’s a lot more than two or three percent. I’ll bet it’s more than half. I’ll bet it’s a lot more than half.
I really hope I’m wrong.
Because if I’m right, or even if I’m close to being right about the ‘more than half’ estimate, then we have a serious problem. Because if most Democrat voters actually believe that our military, our police, and most Republican voters are white supremacist racist terrorists, then what would those Democrat voters not do to solve the problem of, well, of me?
These people are my friends and neighbors. Is this what they think of me? If it is, then cancel culture and censorship are only the very beginning. Will they resort to violence against me and other suspected conservatives? If not, why not? If they really believe that we’re all racist terrorists, why would they not do everything possible to silence us? By any means necessary?
If I’m close to being right, this could get very ugly, very fast.
Mr. Biden may have just been performing to a liberal crowd, trying to get applause lines. He may not have meant any of what he said. But even if he didn’t, such inflammatory rhetoric is dangerous. Especially in such polarized and partisan times.
I hope that his rhetoric is simply careless, stupid, and reckless. Because if it’s not, then he’s deliberately inciting violence all over the country that he’s supposed to be uniting.
Regardless of his intentions, such rhetoric is extremely dangerous. For us all.

In that great vacuous space between Joe Biden’s ears, the space where normal people have a functioning brain, I think there’s only what he hears each morning when Jill (ahem, Dr. Jill) turns on his television to MSNBC and CNN.
Doc, 99.9 percent of Americans have had the same experience as you; “…I’ve never met one (a white supremacist)”. Here in Appalachia, one would expect that the hills would be teeming with these elusive specimens. Alas, no. Just hard working people giving it their best, despite the Federal Government’s best efforts to grind them (and their culture) down.
Never in the history of this country has there ever been such a concerted effort to malign so many people; particularly the people who get up each morning and make a positive contribution to this Republic.
And if you don’t believe it, they’re going to send Gen. Honore after you. He’s got more conspiracy theories than a pack of dogs has fleas.

Yeah, I saw that on Tucker tonight. A bit surprising; he had a fairly good reputation around the time that Katrina was tearing up New Orleans. I did look him up on Wikipedia and, if it’s accurate, it’s not all that impressive. No combat experience; he looks to have been mostly a REMF.

we knew this was what we would get if Trump lost. And we are getting it good and hard.
With all the money the Democrats have, you’d think they could hire a better grade of conspiracy theorists to advise the President.
They both believe and disbelieve simultaneously.
Firstly, I think politics is directly related to our natural and perfectly human desire to form into groups and dominate other groups. Homo Sapiens got to be the only species in our genus because by slaughtering and raping the other hominids in Africa and then the other hominids in Europe and Asia. We naturally identify with larger groups and fight other groups. Our corrupt DNA longs for hatred. Conventional religious wars are too European for our American taste and racial hatred is a taboo. So what is left is political ideology. But political “science” is about economics, history and philosophy. The vast majority of Americans (and probably the world) find these things boring. But identity politics appeals to both the heart and the stomach which are more powerful to humans than their reason.
Additionally, believing that America is filled with white racists everywhere gives people spiritual purpose. If you don’t have G-d, family and you have been taught that patriotism is for dumb hillbillies what is left but a politics of meaning? Think of the most woke person you can? It’s a screaming young white lady with tattoos, colored hair and who hasn’t spoken to her father in years. She doesn’t go to Church, she might have step-brothers or step-sisters that she isn’t very close to them and she doesn’t come from a large family. She also looks like she is very unhappy.
People like that often join cults, extreme political movements or Churches. I should mention right now that I am a big fan of Christianity and Buddhism and (with some stipulations) Confucian ancestor worship for this reason.
Yes leftists also don’t actually believe that the world is filled with white supremacists everywhere. Blacks, Hispanics and Asians aren’t afraid of white people even if they are lefty. Also, woke activists aren’t really scared of being beaten up by racist white dudes. This is because humans have a well developed threat assessment system. There are poor areas of Chicago and L.A. where gang violence done by hispanic and black Americans is a serious problem. One of the reasons Americans so love murder mysteries and True Crime is that it has a feeling of surrealness because so few people know anybody who ever got murdered. I quite doubt that people with live in more violent communities enjoy the True Crime genre.
Leftists hold this cognitive contradiction in the same way that celebrities advocate for socialism and higher taxes while getting on a private jet to go to Vancouver for a tax break. People can easily believe in two or more contradictory things at once. Especially, if it benefits them. All is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Well put. And because it gives them succor, the idea of White Supremacy as the overriding pervasive culture force in America has gone from cranky fringe rant to Accepted Truth to something you may not dispute, lest you be seen as an enabler at best and a participant at worst.
I think Joe read a story in the WaPo about vetting the National Guard sent to DC, then his natural political instincts inflated the idea to make it more dire, something government certainly ought to do something about, because, you know, there are studies. Oh look here’s a dog. Is that my dog? You don’t say.

The image in the mass media of a country teeming with white supremacists is so inaccurate. It makes me think of a joke my husband made years ago.
During the early years of the Iraq War, we heard constantly about the CIA waterboarding suspected terrorists. It turned out there were actually only three or four incidents of it–not to suggest that it’s the right thing to do, but I can sort of understand it if there’s a bomb about to go off.
Anyway, we were watching yet another movie during which the interrogator got carried away and water boarded his suspected terrorist. My husband said, “You know, I think the only people who are actually in real danger of being water boarded these days are the actors in Hollywood.” :-)

I have not. However, Antifa and some members of BLM are responsible for deaths, increased crime rates due to the Ferguson effect and some billion dollars or so in property damage. There isn’t an equivalence of white supremacists bothering poor communities of color.

I think what underlies the current leftist propensity for seeing a white supremacist behind every tree is that they’re engaging in a wholesale redefinition of “white supremacy”. The left – this is true of all totalitarians actually – has worked the business of subtly redefining terms into an entire field of expertise.
If you read much of the critical race theory hysteria, you quickly discover that the only way not to be racist is to accept their premise that disparity = discrimination. This is also why there’s suddenly more chatter about “equity” than “equality”.
In their world view, if you reject the premise that disparity = discrimination, then you have embraced the “structural advantage” that boosts whites at the expense of other races, especially blacks, and – presto! – you’re a “white supremacist”.
It is no longer necessary to have any actual animus toward people of another race in order to be a “white supremacist”. It is enough that you harbor doubts about whether discrimination is the universal explanation for statistical variation in outcomes across different racial groups.
So what Biden et al are doing here, IMO, is coopting the moral revulsion almost universally felt toward “white supremacists” as historically defined, and putting that revulsion to work in support of an entirely new thesis about what constitutes “supremacy”.
It’s essentially a form of moral jujitsu accomplished by slipstreaming a new definition into the dialog without being explicit about what they’re doing.
None of this is to say that Biden has the cognitive ability even to understand what he’s doing in this area, but he is almost certainly surrounded by people who frame the discussion this way and use these terms in a redefined way.

Biden lost it by saying the KKK is why he got into politics (joined the Dem Party). Like a few of his buds, he was probably correct, but not in the way he tries to imply today.
It’s all in the definition. The new Progressive/Socialist/Democrat definition of a “White Supremacist” is anyone who supports an agenda that runs counter to the Revolution.
“White Lives Matter”. White Supremacist.
“All Lives Matter”. White Supremacist.
“Back the Blue”. White Supremacist.
“Molon Labe”. White Supremacist.
Etc.
Control the language and you control the debate.
Oh no, Doc. Your not wrong. You are all too right. This is the logical outgrowth of the systemic racism, white privilege argument. And there is only one way for it to end. Sooner or later the people who believe it are going to act to destroy those whom they have been told over and over and over again are the cause of the country’s troubles. And I’m afraid it’s going to be sooner. Here’s why.
Right now it’s tenuous out there. It a new administration has been elected (by hook or by crook) promising to make things better by fighting systemic racism, white supremacy and white privilege, and by enacting a laundry list of redistributive policies. They control both Houses of the legislature and the Presidency. But you know and I know that the fight against systemic racism is going nowhere because systemic racism doesn’t exist. And the redistributive stuff isn’t going to fix any problems because the real solutions need faith and family and economic liberty and personal responsibility. So what happens when Xiden/Harris/Pelosi/Schumer spend four years stoking racial animus and fail to make things better? At some point people are going to act out against the group they’ve been told is responsible. That’s the logical outcome. And it’s coming. The impeachmenteers were right about some things. There is indeed a powder keg in this country. And it’s been getting stuffed full for years. And some people are playing with matches. But it’s not who they think.
I really thought we had 12 to 16 years or so until things got to the ignition point. But now I think I overestimated. It’s right around the corner, I’m afraid. I’ve said it before. I think there’s a pretty good chance I’ll spend my final days in a ‘mental health’ facility, heavily medicated and drooling down my hospital gown, for the thought crime of believing all men are created equal and that government governs best which governs least.
I get the sentiment but they may just ‘talk’! Yikes, I don’t want to continue to hear what they’d say.
