Cleaning out the Augean Stables seems to be the new clarion call in Washington DC. I suppose it’s not totally beyond the pale in a city that features Greco-Roman architecture.

House Majority Whip Dan Kildee (D), Michigan:
On CNN, House Majority Chief Deputy Whip Dan Kildee (D-MI) said that law enforcement has an “instinct” to shoot black people. During the interview with host Don Lemon, Kildee said:
“If the crowd had been black or Muslim, it would have been a disaster even greater than it was. Because we know what the instinct would have been for people in law enforcement, that would have been to open fire.”
Kildee continued that the violence that spread across the country in 2020 was not the fault of the rioters, but that of the United States Military:
“Even in the moments when we had violence over the summer, it was violence being perpetrated by the United States military against peaceful protestors.”
I’ll make this a mercifully short list by not naming every politician that believes that every time you start your car the world will end in a decade. The rolling end time of the end of the world never goes out of fashion. It’s an inclusive conspiracy theory that includes religious fanatics, as well as elected secular fanatics. I love big tents, there’s room for everyone.

Back on topic, I would put Sheila Jackson-Lee on the list. She submitted the worst gun bill in US History. It’s a dumpster fire that will make unregistered guns carry a longer sentence than rape or armed robbery.

Is there a video or tweet where Marjorie Taylor Greene uses the term “Jewish Space Laser”? I suspect this is a hoax like Sarah Palin’s supposed “I can see Russia from my back door” from the SNL skit.
My understanding is that she used the Rothschild name, who are Jewish financiers. I don’t think she said “Jewish.”

Well, if that’s all she said, it could as easily have been construed as Jerry Brown’s lasers. Then again, she was condemned by the (very left wing) Anti Defamation League as anti-Semitic for talking about George Soros and his during and after Holocaust activities (which were and have been unapologetically nasty). The guy is himself a rabid anti-Semite and Israel basher, so I don’t buy into claims of anti-Semitism where he’s concerned (unless he’s the one being called out). Assuming that’s all she said, she might be a teeny bit on the edge, but no worse than worrying about islands tipping over. Not our best and brightest. Cute. She can be the Republican answer to AOC.
