Not Wasting Time: 17 Executive Orders From Day One

We all knew that the New Regime would work quickly to “cancel” the Trump Administration’s actions on behalf of the American People.  Here is what has been released today, January 20, 2021, before Day One is over.  And this is only the beginning.   I have added “cui bono” reaction (who benefits) in italics.

  1.  Issues 100-Day Masking Challenge to the entire nation.  Masks to be required on citizens in all Federal buildings, on all Federal land (I assume this includes national parks).  I can’t see that anyone benefits, except the Federal Bureaucracy gains more power over us.
  2. Rejoins the World Health Organization, and Dr. Fauci becomes head of the US delegation to WHO.  Communist China benefits since they control the WHO.
  3. Create a Covid-19 Response Coordinator.  Unknown if this is a new position, with requisite high salary, benefits, and pension.  Only the person in that position will benefit from the increased federal spending.
  4. Extends nationwide eviction moratorium to March 31.  Renters in government housing benefit; landlords forced closer to bankruptcy since they cannot collect rent from those who are using their property.
  5. Suspension of payments on all federal student loans extended until the end of September.  Graduate students, med students, doctors, lawyers, others with high salaries benefit from more income they do not have to use to pay back their loans.  The US Treasury is denied those funds, and the US Public suffers.
  6. Rejoins the Paris Climate Accords.  No-one benefits, the economy will suffer greatly.  Watch for it.
  7. Cancels the Keystone-XL Pipeline project.  No-one benefits, but many workers will be thrown out of jobs, energy will cost more, and we alienate our Ally, Canada.  Maybe “green energy” interests benefit from more federal largesse.
  8. Rescind the Trump 1776 Commission.  Continues the re-write of American History.  No one benefits, and American children will continue to be taught that America is Evil.
  9. Prevents workplace “discrimination” on basis of sexual orientation or “gender identity”.  The LGBTQXYZ Lobby benefits, as do Plaintiffs Attorneys.
  10. Requires non-citizens to be counted in the census, for congressional redistricting.  Illegal Aliens and the DemocRat Party benefit from all the new Dem voters instantly given voting “rights”.
  11. Fortifies DACA.  Illegal Aliens benefit.  They vote Dem, so the DemocRat Party benefits.
  12. Reverses the Trump Administration restrictions on immigration from majority-Muslim countries.  Radical Islam benefits.
  13. Undoes the expansion of immigration enforcement inside the US under Trump.  Illegal Aliens benefit.
  14. Halts construction on the Mexico border wall by rescinding the emergency declaration that authorized it.  Illegal Aliens and border-crossers benefit.  This is an open invitation for more illegals to cross the southern border.
  15. Extends deferral of deportation for Liberians under “safe harbor” provisions, to 2022.  Illegal Liberians in the US benefit.
  16. Required Executive Branch appointees to sign an “ethics pledge” that they will not work for their own interests.  Maybe just for The Party’s interests?
  17. Directs OMB director to develop recommendations to “modernize” regulatory review, and undoes the Trump regulatory approval process.  What this means is more regulations everywhere in the US economy, making doing any kind of business in the US more difficult.  Increases the quantity of “red tape” that all businesses have.  The Regulatory State benefits.

What do all of the above executive orders have in common?  The American Public is hurt by every single one. You, the Taxpayers of America, will find smaller paychecks, higher taxes, higher gas, and other energy prices, fewer new jobs, and little to no representation in Congress.  Your children are already taught that America was founded on Racism, Imperialism, and Discrimination; they are taught that people are destroying this planet; they are taught that they can be whatever sex they feel like they are today, starting now in kindergarten.  This is not going to go well for America.

Oh, yes, and you will have no outlets to complain about anything that will be happening to you because the Big Tech companies will only allow the speech that they deem acceptable.  Since Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon will be increasingly ascendant, your speech will be throttled at every turn.  Get used to it.

The man is an economic ninnyhammer.

There is an expression that should be rejuvenated in the American lexicon.

And the RNC has the unmitigated gall to call me asking for money.  Funny, have Facebook, Twitter, and Google de-platformed the RNC?  I’ll be they haven’t.  I wonder why…..

So @hoyacon the federal government should be run just as the other party’s predecessor ran it?

That’s what executive orders are for. Telling bureaucrats what to do, how to harm the general public.

By whom, and targeting whom, you ask? Why, targeting anybody who can be accused of opposing Unity.

Democrats led by President Biden have launched a war on domestic terrorism to “essentially criminalize any oppositional ideology to the ruling class,” investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald argued Wednesday.

“There is literally nothing that could be more dangerous, and it’s not fear-mongering or alarmism to say it,” Greenwald told “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Biden pledged to confront the threat of domestic terrorism in his inaugural address, vowing to defeat “political extremism, [and] White supremacy” in light of the deadly riot at the Capitol Jan. 6.

As Rush noted yesterday, Politico and other Democrat operatives with bylines are now quoting Biden campaign sources describing memory lapses and the like. What are the Vegas odds about when President Harris is sworn in?

And there are more coming. Great job of putting that together RushBabe. I will never understand why a right leaning person could objectively vote to sink Trump. The difference is palpable on the very first actions of a Biden presidency.

By the way, I saw the glowing writing NeverTrumper John Podheritz (sp?) had for Biden. Makes me want to vomit. I should of passed it up like I do for most of his writing but I was curious what he had to say about Biden. I’m sorry I read it.

Except that the Supreme Court- lead by a coward who hates Trump- intervened in the DACA case. Trump tried to use an EO to undo Obama’s illegal EO and it was ruled unconstitutional to do that. Sure, the original stands though. I wonder how many of Biden’s EO’s will be ruled unconstitutional by scotus? My guess is none but I’d love to be wrong.

Boy, I have really soured on the Bush 43 Presidency. Roberts is the gift that keeps on giving.

As I have too. I don’t know if you saw his comments to Clyburn (sp?) about Trump yesterday. They were atrocious.

Which makes me wonder what was the big deal about a bunch of rowdies breaking into the holy of holies.  The Deep State had already certified the election, so Congress was just going through the motions that day. And the only laws they write are those that give more power and money to the Deep State.  Why not turn the place into an amateur fight zone?  It would be better than destroying more homes and businesses where real people live and work.  And those that get too carried away can be handled by our legal/justice system.  Better to contain them to one place than have them spread out across the country.

The Democrats took a wrecking ball to the American Economy in 2020 to help their chances. I figured they would do this too. They have no awareness that this will only make things worse on an already struggling economy, even though we went through 8 years of Obama excuses after the housing crisis. It’s much easier to destroy than create, and the ideologues have no idea how to create. And they’re in charge.

But, y’know, Trump made mean tweets.

Excellent example of why executive orders we like are still no way to govern.  They are great photo-ops and seem to make progress but are short lived and nearly a waste of time.  Obama chose this path of least resistance, so did Trump.  It’s much harder to create and/or convince a coalition of lawmakers to pass actual legislation, however that is how you form law, not easily overturned executive fiat.

Russia Collusion I had a lot of Congressional Republicans distancing themselves from the President. “Let’s pass laws putting his program into effect” wasn’t exactly on the front burner during the first year and more, Ryan wasn’t enthusiastic about Trump’s ideas. Maybe EOs plus plan to win in 2020 was the least bad course for Trump, especially once the Democrats officially flipped the House.

Lot of things have gone into this situation.  First of all, we have a Legislative branch that is afraid to legislate lest they antagonize any of the many special interest groups that infest Washington (and also make hefty contributions to their reelection funds).

Also, many of the laws are written with such ambiguous language (probably on purpose) that the implementation of the laws are made on the whims of the bureaucrats in the affected agencies.

Finally, the Democrats have repeatedly shown that they’re content to let the Federal Judiciary legislate to their hearts’ content.  Little wonder that EOs are so popular.

H*ll of a way to run a railroad.

I was wondering about this one since the census occurred last year. Were non-citizens counted but put into a separate pile from the group determining representation? Is Biden wanting the two piles mixed? If not, as Jeff says, the next census is in 2030 and a lot can change before then.

Canceling the Keystone pipeline is my favorite to cite to Biden supporters- first day on the job and he puts Americans out of work, raises the cost of gasoline and heating fuel for middle class Americans, increases the risk of environmental damage, and annoys America’s geographically closest ally.

And is  huge benefit to his contributor Warren Buffet, who owns rail stock that benefits from not having competition from the pipeline.   Rail is less energy efficient, more environmentally damaging and more likely to cause a disaster than the pipeline.

The 2020 census will affect this year’s redistricting, and the forced addition of illegal will definitely influence the process now. The Trump administration was too late to finalize things and it is the Democrats’ show now.

Bills have mostly drafted by lobbyists for decades now anyway. The dirty secret of term limits is that newly “elected” officials don’t know the players and are even more dependent on staff (many of whom are aspiring members of the oligarchy) and lobbyists than someone with more experience. So for the people who draft the bills, it’s win-win.

The administrative state is much more stable and less subject to the whims of hoi polloi than “elected” officials, and the White House, except for a recent aberration now thankfully ended, has been safely in the hands of what the terrorists call the “Deep State” for decades now. With a large plurality if not a majority of Congressmembers of “both” parties mostly working at staking out their places at the trough, they are mostly, as the saying goes, actors in the Hollywood for ugly people.

Just good old “moderate”, middle-of-the-road Joe! To tell you the truth, for a moment I thought that he would govern to the left, but seeing his first day in office I cannot agree more with the ample comentary by David French and Co. on their decision to vote for this guy. Can’t wait for the next 4 years of this. Sorry, 2 years, because we all know that the Republicans are easily going to retake the House and Senate (did not the NTs had won the Senate for us last November?, never mind) and then they will opposse the Biden agenda with all their might, and Kamala is just going sit there and not sign any EO to circunvent the Congress, and then I win the lottery… ups, just woke up from my dream…. We are toasted.
