Must-Watch Documentary for Pacific Northwesterners

Last night, I left the dirty dinner dishes until later, to sit and watch the new 90-minute (no commercials) KOMO News documentary, The Fight for The Soul of Seattle.

This is a must-watch for anyone interested in the goings-on in the Leftist Republic of Seattle. It will certainly evoke many emotions, from anger through surprise and pity. Remember my post on Seattle committing slow suicide? It was slightly ahead of its time. The documentary was quite thorough in describing all the adverse changes happening in Seattle. In my opinion, only one subject was left out:  interviews with ordinary citizens of all parts of Seattle, asking them whether they regret voting for the ones who are responsible for the downward spiral of their city.

You really should watch this.  Kudos to KOMO, too.

This question is always left out when these types of interviews are done.  Same with those fleeing NYC or California.  Yet it must be asked every time.  The voters need to be held accountable for their role in these death spirals.  Might make a few of them think better of reflexive progressive voting next time.  Then again, probably not.

Will find the time to watch this documentary. It sounds like it is an important one.

With what people in the Center of things now realize about how elections really are handled in the USA, it might be that far fewer people in Seattle voted for the Cra Cra Left than we assumed several months ago.

Eric Johnson is the bravest man in Seattle. The Dems will do their best to crucify him and denounce the documentary as right-wing propaganda.

Those bastards are going to leave Seattle, and turn Knoxville into Seattle.  I’m against that.

Actually, now that I think about it, Knoxville already is Seattle.  But Knox county isn’t King county.

Because this could be coming to a city near you – or one you live in . . .

They are.  They see their busineses destroyed, their beautiful city sullied by tents, feces, and graffiti, their lives turned upsidedown by COVID rules that make no sense . . .

I’m sure they’d love to hold their elected officials accountable, but there don’t appear to be any other alternatives when challengers are further to the left.

No, the citizens are being held accountable to the point their only option is to leave.  And leaving they are . . .

RushBabe, it looks like a race to the bottom between Seattle and Portland.   We now even have our own little Autonomous Zone.

It arrived in Tucson but that is a university town with all that includes.  Right now there is a petition drive to recall the looney left Mayor.  I can’t participate because we were smart enough to buy outside the city but Pima County is almost as bad.  Even so, AZ is light years, maybe even parsecs, better than CA.  We will sneak into the Peoples’ Republic of CA for Christmas but are otherwise happy to be 400 miles away.

This post was actually written on Sunday, and the documentary happened Saturday night.  At 9:30PM.  With no commercials, which is very unusual for broadcast television.  One more thing that I just thought of yesterday-of all the multi-crime perpetrators profiled in the documentary, none was black.  They were all white people.  I wonder why.  Was that part of the truth simply a bridge too far for KOMO, which is still “lamestream media”?

I don’t think they are.  Because they return these people to office time and time again and when the inevitable happens, they leave and go and vote the same way in the new place.

This report is focused on the drug problem, just like the other KOMO report was.  But the riots and the antifa violence and the willful ignorance of the Seattle city council are not drug problems.  The report does a good job of offering solutions for the drug problems, but offers nothing for the violence and the council’s stupidity.  Those just kind of drop off the screen and a are not considered in the final analysis.

It was an amazing documentary, notably for its truth. It’s not a housing issue! I wrote about it as well.

I’m with you: I want to know how the city council keeps getting elected. I want to know why people continue to vote for them. I hope that’s Eric Johnson’s next report.

I was born and raised in Seattle, and it is sad to see what has happened to my city.  We live in Everett now, and with Ray’s athletic club closed, we never go there anymore.

Merry Christmas, @patriciajay!  You should join my group, Pacific Northwest Ricochetti.

Maybe it’s the voting machines.  Maybe it has been for years.
