Shouldn’t This Present Problems?

The actor formerly known as Ellen Page recently came out in an Instagram post saying she is a man, now to be known as Elliot Page.

I have my own mixed feelings towards transgenderism but probably lean to the Ben Shapiro side more than anything. We won’t get into that here. What I want to get into are some of the problems a story like this should present to the mainstream leftist ideology. None of these are original, just a few picked up here or there I find to be especially challenging.

  1. Ellen Page was a white female actress. We’re told that females (especially actresses) are paid less. Will Elliot Page see an immediate pay increase?
  2. Now identifying as a male (in the post Elliot says trans which is just doublespeak for male in my opinion), which we’re told is all you have to do to become a male, is Elliot Page now a member of the white patriarchy?
  3. Now identifying as a male but continuing to work in “his” current role, is Elliot not taking a job away from an underprivileged female? Is that not some form of modern 2020 blackface?

The mainstream leftist ideology is riddled with contradictions, especially when it comes to sex. How does one do it? Are they all just real-life “This Is Fine” dogs?

    Another thought:

Ellen Page, Ellen DeGeneres… Maybe it’s a hint to parents: Don’t name your daughter Ellen.

    Don’t have kids.

Kids are great. Conservatives especially should have lots of kids. We’ve got to out-breed the leftists.

Why would you leave your children to where the world is heading? Seem short sighted and cruel.

When you consider most of human existence was short, brutish and harsh, a child born today is born into extravagance. The politics of the world has always been unstable. Nothing new there. Why let that stop ya? Procreate away.

Did you just say, Go forth and multiply?

If you don’t like forth, would you prefer maybe javascript?

    :-)

    Secret: I don’t get it.

forth and javascript are both programming languages in which it is possible to (arithmetically) multiply.

    Thanks.  I knew that. :)

Page definitely had higher stock as a cute lesbian than he will as a scrawny, effeminate guy. Is he going to get the John Cazale roles now?

I listened to the clip on Matt Walsh where Page ranted like an angry teenage girl on the verge of tears about how Mike Pence was full of hate for lesbian marriages like hers. Guys do this kind of thing all the time.

It reminded me of the panel discussion in which a big, burly M-to-F transsexual threatened to punch Ben Shapiro out in the alley after the show. The other ladies here can assure you all that most of us get in several fistfights every year.

I don’t care what well informed adults do for happiness. So long as they follow the golden rule etc.

The part I find horrifying is that there apparently is huge increase in the number of pre-puberty children thinking that they will be happier if they transition:

Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters according to this book.

I am not recommending the podcast in general, but, if you want to check if the theme of the book is worth considering:

    https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/abigail-shrier-on-teen-trans-trend-feminism-technology/id1532976305?i=1000495240932

is pretty good (not morally good, to me it seems insane) overview.

A scenario they go over in the podcast is to just imagine the nightmare scenario were some child thinks this will make them happy and they undergo hormone treatment pre-puberty. Then they get to their 20-30s and realize they made a mistake and they want to have kids and they are infertile. (not a doctor, not sure if its true. seems plausible)

If its just changing your hair and clothes and wanting to be referred to by gender X, I guess, fine, who cares. But if these lefty ideas turn out to be wrong and 100’s (1000’s?) of kids regret following through with this, I wonder if the people pushing this will have the self awareness to feel regret. Of course not.

One possible benefit of the lockdowns is how a lot of this is peer pressure and by not going to school, some are deciding they really aren’t men. There’s been some reporting on this.

My opinion on this kind of thing has shifted somewhat.

In theory, I don’t have a problem with adults choosing to adopt the clothing and assume the benefits and responsibilities traditionally associated with the opposite sex. There would be a sort of conservatism to that, in that it would affirm binary gender roles, while resolving the tension between the importance we place on those roles and an American idea of social freedom. You don’t get Transalpine Gaul by denying the existence of the Alps.

That’s not an endorsement of homosexuality either. In fact it would make more sense as a way for straight people looking for role-reversal to advertise themselves to each other.

I have a problem with the surgeries as destructive of the reproductive capacity, though I understand that’s becoming less common among self-described trans, and more than a problem when any of this stuff is peddled to kids.

The wars over pronouns and nomenclature are their own topic, but it’s enough to note that the cultural left has been the agressor.

What I really have a problem with is the nonbinary language that Page has invoked which is destructive of gender norms. Masculine and feminine virtue are real and society needs both to stay civilized.

They generally want the perceived benefits, but not the responsibilities.

In fact, the very idea of “responsibilities” (particularly those associated with a particular sex) is regressive and outdated!

My primary issue with accepting it in any capacity is how long until a man or woman isn’t allowed to inquire into the biological reality in pursuit of a life-long, reproductive, mating relationship?

I can already hear conservatives saying that’s what technology is for.

So how is it, That now she’s a man she can continue to play a girl on tv? She’s been in “The Umbrella Acadamy” (Netflix) and even after becoming a man, will still pretend to be a girl “Vanya Hargreeves” on the series. Season 3 of the series will be in production soon.

Really? it must have been quite early. Nearly everything discussed on any news program these days is begging the (or just A)  question.

    For example:

If face masks work, why do we lock down? If lock downs dont work why are we doing it again? If lock downs work, why are we doing it again?
