An Inconvenient Hiccup and Resurrecting the Swamp
Now I finally get it. How could I miss the obvious?
For the deluded Left, the last four years were just an inconvenient blip on the screen of history. They hated it when Trump won the 2016 election, and made sure everyone—those on the Left and the Right—experienced hatred and frustration in one way or another.
But that was then and this is now.
As far as the Left is concerned, the country can now resume it’s true and righteous agenda of change and transformation set in motion by their leader, Obama:
They would say, sure we made a few mistakes before 2016, but what can you do when an election is stolen? But we didn’t waste those four years: we re-energized and ginned up the anger. We made sure that everyone knows that Trump was a fraud, a liar, a racist, and a hater. We’ve worked very hard at accentuating the weaknesses of the Right, and we see them in full panic mode, trying to save themselves from an inevitable future that has been in the making for years. They’ve shown how feckless they are in trying to rescue a different outcome for this election, but we have too much momentum. The people of this country are seeing just how greedy and hopeless the Right is.
So we can now continue marching forward with our agenda of change: equality, fairness, re-distribution, and becoming a global participant in a united world. We will take our place along with everyone else, making sure that all of us reap the benefits of a universe of fairness. We will sacrifice much as a country, but the world will benefit.
Eventually, the people of the United States will understand that we are dedicated to a larger purpose: one world, united in justice and equality.
We are back on track.

Can’t you just see the Left, guided by the secret elite, congratulating themselves? They are clueless about, and have no respect for, the people of this country; to them, we are just a mass of mindless creatures waiting for them to tell us what to do.
But the Left has underestimated us. They always have, as they live in their cocoon of snobbery and arrogance. They rest on the tenets of a failed worldview. They never learn from their mistakes. But they are certain that they are right. They will do their best to resurrect The Swamp and there will even be those on the Right who will quietly try to help them.
But the Left is mistaken. In these four years, we have watched the ugliness of the media and the Left in brilliant technicolor. In spite of their denials about launching an Obama third-term, we know what they are doing and we must stop them.
We are resilient. We are determined. We will fight back.
The last four years were not an inconvenient hiccup in time. The Right has seen, through Trump’s persistence, what can be accomplished culturally, internationally, and economically.
And we will not back down.

Hey, but the tyrants of the Left has learned two things: (1) half of Americans can be easily manipulated by propaganda and will gladly support any tyrannical proposal (2) giant corporations will support any propaganda and tyranny as long as they can benefit from it. This is classic fascism and half of Americans are asking for it good and hard.
And yet I look at CA. @dong, where they voted against restoring affirmative action, and Orange County elected two Asian Republican women. Also, numbers may not matter so much; passion and energy can go a long way!
There’s a secret elite?
Real Socialists that I’ve seen seem to be relieved that Trump is gone, but they also seem incredibly depressed at the overall outcome of the election, precisely because major changes are very unlikely, and the Supreme Court has many new good justices.
I feel like we are staring at the edge of a great big crater that will swallow everyone, including O and Company, (and I’m an optimist). If you read about The Great Reset and the World Economic Forum’s plans, of which quite a few former Obama advisors are listed, everything is going toward this “Plan”. I think it will be fast and O has been pulling the strings in the background the last 4 years. Trump was a reprieve and I’m thankful for it.
One part of me agrees with you, @mikeh: Biden is picking moderates to be around him. But the pressures of the far Left and that elite may decide to exert all kinds of pressures through the media to go more extreme. And we still have Georgia to worry about. I also am concerned about Biden cancelling Trump’s Executive Orders.
Then the Republicans need to step up and try to slow it down in whatever way they can. It’d hard to have any optimism in the face of the plans, FSC, but I refuse to give up. After all, that’s just what they’re counting on!
Susan, I like that you are so engaged in discussions you start. John Kerry is not a moderate. I just see a bunch of nuts from 4 years ago that promote the interests of Iran and China.
It’s hard for me to argue with you, Don. Kerry’s not a moderate. What I should have said is that the media will describe them that way, and will point to their wealth of experience. Since many have a long history with Biden and Obama, we should assume they are part of the Swamp and are extreme. Thanks for correcting my comment.
These terms are outdated. Kerry, Clinton, Biden Obama are globalists who lean left but will always protect multinational corporations, are sufficiently hawkish to appease the neo-cons (who are also globalists), and they disagree with far leftist tactics, mostly because they believe they are counterproductive. They are the very opposite of populists, which is why they abhor Bernie, Tulsi and Trump.
AOC is useful to them like Kim Jong Un is useful to China.
But to neo-cons and ‘conservative’ pundits (they want to conserve the current globalist interventionist policies) Kerry is a moderate, aka non-threatening to their core interests.
That’s what they mean by ‘moderate’.

President Trump showed us that fighting the swamp was conceivable, if not entirely achievable. It was something we hadn’t considered in the realm of the possible. Nor had we been truly exposed to just how necessary draining the swamp is to the health of our nation. Thanks to President Trump, we deplorables are going to expect the GOP to continue fighting it. If they waver, they can expect to be booted from office at every opportunity. The establishment GOP is now on notice.
Here’s what our Never Trump friends have in common with Biden, et al:
Globalism that favors multi nationalist corporations.
Liberal use of the US military around the world.
Open borders ( Chamber of Commerce endorsed Biden)
Strong CIA, FBI Intel agency abilities to maintain control over the plebes.
A general, don’t rock the boat ( or cruise ship) mentality.
Pro Wall Street, pro lawyer, pro Big Pharma…
Anti-populist ( see Tea Party, Trump, Bernie)
I consider myself firmly on the ‘right’, I feel these people are just about the opposite in political orientation than I am. We may hold a few policy wishes in common, but considering that the globalist Republican creatures never move these policies forward ( or thwart the ones they claim they are against, I consider myself in a completely different party.
It may be time for

Yes, and they are further depressed because they were hoping for and expected a Blue Wave election that would prove decisively that 2016 was a fluke and that having seen Trump in action for 4 years the American people thoroughly repudiated him and all he stands for. Having convinced themselves that Trumpism means white supremacy and fascism, they are now grappling with the fact that half the country still voted for him anyway.

Good question, hard to say. I suspect many of them will double down on their efforts to deplatform anyone they label white supremacist, transphobic, Islamophobic, etc.
My personal blog has those, in spades. Not deplatformed yet, but working on a way to back it all up, in case I get booted off WordPress.
There is a faction of DNC voters that are patriotic, don’t like endless wars, and don’t like big corporations running everything. I think a bunch of them voted for Trump, but not all of em.
Yeah, I’m thinking particularly of the GOP members of Congress that we need on our side. Are there many?
Drew, when you say GOP, are you saying any Republicans, or just NeverTrumpers? I do know there are some House races that still are not counted, but last I heard they are favoring the Republicans.
I am thinking of the Republicans in Congress who seemed happier to just play opposition theater against the Democrats, but when it came time to act, sat on their hands. Which is why they lost the House in 2018.
I wonder if they’re happier as the party out of power, because they can preen and pose without having to actually deliver.
That we have to rely on them to save us from Democrat tyranny is pretty depressing.

The more Obama speaks, the more I detest these Progressives. I will resist this Obama retread with dementia will all my fiber. All they have to do is put Obama out there and it’s like waving a red cape in front of a bull. I don’t think there’s any part of their agenda I can remotely want. This country really is diametrically and irreconcilably split. There’s nothing in their agenda I can support; there’s nothing in our agenda they can support. They detest us; we detest them.
Other than Yellen, what moderates? I haven’t seen any.
