    I hope so.

It isn’t necessarily a good thing.

I suspect the next four years may offer many opportunities for humor.

    I laughed.

Only for our side. The other side can’t be funny. They don’t know how.

If Trump’s challenges fail and the GOP holds the Senate, I’d expect them to try and turn the boring Mitch McConnell into some sort of wild-eyed alt-right bomb thrower they can mock with knowing (i.e. knowing = unfunny) lines in place of jokes. But the main target’s likely to remain Trump, because Trump’s not going away between now and 2024, unless the Biden Justice Department decides to stage a show trial against him.

(Meanwhile, unless Team Joe calls a lid on the State of the Union address after the first 30 minutes, I’d expect it to wrap up in similar style to the stirring speech provided by Gabby Johnson in “Blazing Saddles”. It will be comedy, but none of the late-night shows will go anywhere near it….)

Yes, in a limited sense, certainly not by what a Biden administration will say, that will be 95%+ lies, but in the sense of the negative impacts of what they actually do, Yes.  Mencken will be proved right, very right.

In other words, discrepancy is the essence of humor.

I don’t know how funny Harris is. I know she smirks and smiles a lot, but when she speaks it’s offputting.

If Biden and his ” voter fraud task force” are still in business we will have reason to laugh. And cry.
