There is a simple yet profound principle I learned as a teenager, one my father first learned the hard way after following a buddy into joyriding in a stolen car. It was a trip that somehow ended with the car partially submerged in a city fountain, and his takeaway was this: “If you’re going to follow a leader, make sure you know where he’s going.”

Okay, now do it for Biden and Harris.
I’m really skeptical of your second sentence here. It can happen. But betting on it happening is generally a bad bet.
I’m with you on your first sentence.
He has changed. But he was already changing. It was evident in some of his interviews.
One means by which we weigh change is through testimony. One of the complaints against Trump 4 years ago was his pro-choice position. But he had recent testimony explaining why he had changed his mind… or at least become more skeptical of abortion. There was change in the direction I wanted to see.
I’m glad I voted for him.
Words of wisdom.
I’ve this from a lot of people. They knew about Trump from the tabloids and his TV show, and weren’t all that happy. However, they also knew Hillary Clinton, and where she would lead the country – further down Obama’s policy toilet. The Flight 93 analogy seemed to work in 2016, but 2020 is different.
Trump has a proven track record this time, made remarkable by the fact the left and many Republicans were against him. Several pundits have said Trump has done nothing to expand his base. I disagree. Everyone – even leftists – have benefitted from Trump’s economy. The hard core might vote against their own interests, but there are a lot of Democrats and independents who don’t want to lose what they’ve got just for a leftist agenda. They may want a government option for health care, but do not want to give up private insurance to do so. They want a more active police force to keep the peace, not a force shrunken by defunding, leaving a smaller number of officers who are told to “stand down” as luntics riot and burn. They want to keep their guns for self protection and hunting, not have them
confiscated“bought back” by the government. Bottom line? No matter what the outcome, the results are going to surprise everyone. As for the record early and absentee voting, I believe many people had already made up their minds and simply want to get this thing over with. I do too, but I’m gonna do it the old fashioned way tomorrow – go to my polling place.
I’m not sure Trump has changed. I can’t help thinking the Trump we see now is the real one; the Trump described and followed by the tabloids for forty years was not the real Trump. I think he has always played the press, which is why he was so successful in building up the Trump brand. The press got some of the Trump picture but by no means all of it.
But I also know people can change. There is a well-known phenomenon in psychology of people “rising to the occasion.”
In my former life I worked for Costco Wholesale and they preach the first part of this to their management, regarding merchandising decisions as well as employee management. They don’t believe in turning people around, which always annoyed me because I spent 20 years taking difficult employees who had potential and turning them into rock stars. In the process I pissed off a few managers because they’d written off those employees long ago.
You would be correct. One of best/most honest election data guys is showing…

Something else to be aware of: this time rather than admit they were wrong if Donald Trump wins, they’re going to claim he stole the election. The Left media & pollsters they are using whose polls have been predicting large Biden leads are laying groundwork for more confusion post election. Nate Silver of 538 recently indicated Trump would only win if either polling was more flawed than in 2016 or Trump stole the election. This of course by inference means the few more honest pollsters not agreeing with the Left/Nate Silver polling are also in cahoots to steal the election.
So Silver is inviting violence now?
