Thank you, Jim. I think you gave us a feel of what it is to attend a Trump Rally.
Boy, You ain’t kiddin’.
The enthusiasm gap is very real. I hope it changes the outcome of the election. But the hard math says that in Ohio or Pennsylvania or Wisconsin, 51% grudging votes for Biden would still beat 49% joyful votes for Trump. I’m hoping rally truth trumps poll truth.
Interesting bit of info. Does Joe think he has it in the bag already, or does he think there is no point in going on?
Your post is so inspiring, Jim! I’ve felt that sensation over the TV, but to read your own experience is very moving. Thanks for sharing it!
Or he’s just not capable of doing more.
I don’t love Trump, but I’m sure voting for him.
Like watching NFL football at the stadium vs TV?
Somehow, if Trump should lose, I don’t think you will hear the whiny primal screams that we heard from those who opposed him in 2016. I think this group is too robust for that.
I might think it, though.
I think you get TEA Party 2.0.
On Sunday, I went shopping in Purcellville, Va – a small town in the DC suburbs. When I came out and loaded up my car, I heard lots of honking and when I pulled out of the parking lot, I pulled into a long stream of honking cars with Trump flags. There were dump trucks, SUVs and regular cars – all with Trump flags. I went about a block and turned into the small strip mall to order food from our favorite Mexican restaurant – which we are trying to keep in business. After I came out, the parade was still going on. I walked to the end of the lot and watched as it went by, waving and cheering. The amazing thing was that even the cars coming the other way were honking and the drivers were waving.
It was an amazingly uplifting event.
It is hard to imagine that Biden/Harris have a chance and this is in Northern Virginia!
You really have to be there to realize just how uplifting it really is, don’t you? That is certainly the way we felt, as I had just an inkling of the real feeling of his supporters and the positive outlook they have for his re-election, no matter what the gloom and doom polls are saying. I just spotted an article about this kind of phenomenon you and I are seeing and feeling, by Byron York entitled “The Big Trump rallies you don’t see” and it is about the huge car and truck rallies all over, but specifically in Western Pennsylvania in which fracking is so central to their economy. Very good analysis, albeit rather disgusting about how major media will not report anything the least bit favorable to the President. God Bless America! Jim.
Here’s Beverly Hills – yes that Beverly Hills! Haha!
