When you have as few positive accomplishments as does Joe Biden, you go with what you have.
I am intrigued by the emphasis Mr. Biden and his associates continuously put on Mrs. Biden’s doctorate (while usually sliding past what it is a doctorate of).
Sure, any earned doctorate is something of which to be proud. But a Doctor of Education (Ed.D., Mrs. Biden’s degree) is almost certainly one of the easiest doctorates to earn, and does not require the same level of academic rigor that a Medical Doctor (M.D.), Doctor of Dentistry (D.D.S), or a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in a subject like Chemistry or Physics requires.
My instinct is to conclude that the Bidens’ strong insistence on including the “Doctor” part of Mrs. Biden’s name is a sign of insecurity on the part of one or both of them.
A candidate for Congress here in Texas does not include her (Democratic) party affiliation in her English language ads, but does extensively include that party affiliation information in her Spanish language ads.
There is an inverse correlation between the insistence that everybody call you DOCTOR and the actual worth of the degree.
That is so, so true…
The only people I’ve met who demand being addressed this way have education doctorates. They also insist on calling themselves “educators,” so double-yuck.
How heteronormative. What a bigot.
Everyone likes Ice Cream.
I guess the aviators hands-on Joe loves are all female . . .
There is something deeply wrong with our system of choosing our officials if Biden is the best thing the Democrats could come up with. Seriously, this is the best they got. “Can’t nobody play this game?”
Why wasn’t ice cream a debate topic?
A lot of us were saying that in 2016 too.
The Trump supporting debate moderator refused to discuss any topics that happened to be strengths of Mr Biden.
The aviators thing is a little strange, isn’t it? He lists three “loves” – ice cream (OK a favorite food), Amtrak (he has talked about commuting via Amtrak for ages), but aviators I don’t get. As far as I know he’s not a pilot in his own right, but if he’s interested in aviation or flying, why not list aviation or flying or airplanes. Aviators is kinda weird unless I’m missing something.
Could he be referring to the aviator sunglasses he’s wearing? That’s what I had assumed.
The emphasis is to get him across the finish line before all the corruption leaks out. It will be a race.
Obama got a corrupt job for his wife in Chicago and nobody cared. The left just plain doesn’t care about corruption on their side.
Savor a sample of the Doctor’s thesis here.
Oh, it’s garbage.
Well, there ya go. I could write that while simultaneously eating four tacos. At once.
“The needs of the student population are often undeserved”…am I reading that right?
He likes those sunglasses.
Maybe Biden got Jill a doctorate in return for pushing funding toward some university. That’s how he became a professor, right? And how his son started teaching law, right?
Because Trump has Biden beat two scoops to one.
They say he’s known for rocking aviator-style sunglasses. Which I guess is a bit like Kamala Harris being congratulated for wearing Timberland boots in a photo-op. Neither are particularly unusual or bold fashion choices. I mean, aviators? Who else would wear those, right? Well, me, I guess. I was looking for sunglasses in Wal-Mart a few years ago, and my wife thought they looked good. They cost $12. So that’s what I wear.
#Bissey2024 – He Wears Aviators
Mmmmm. Tacos.
I stopped reading at “The needs of the student population are often undeserved.”
Oh, I see John H. got it.
Who is that masked man?
Isn’t CNN still mad at Donny Two Scoops?
