It seems so odd to me that so few are asking that very question. How do those college aged people – and older too – get through their days? How did they manage themselves before March 2020? Golly tamale. They seem unable to do more than go through a drive through.
Looks like there will be mask requirements into 2021 because flu season is starting soon . . .
Oh, god. Let’s hope the COVID mask craze doesn’t become a cold-and-flu mask craze. If it does, I’ll refuse to abide, consequences be darned.
This weekend, I also saw this, which warmed the cockles of my heart:
It ends when we end it.
If ten percent of us refused, it would end in a week.
If thirty percent of us refused, it would end in a day.
If sixty percent of us refused, it would end in an hour.
I like to hike. (I’m not doing much now, since I’m tutoring my granddaughter during her WuFlu induced virtual “learning”. But that’s another story.) Masked hikers flabbergast me. Not at a waterfall a quarter mile prom the parking lot. I’m talking five miles up the side of a mountain. In a freaking WILDERNESS! SMH.
Depends on the state. South Dakota has no mask mandate. WA will never end the mandate. I have an appointment with an insurance broker today. No mask needed in his office but mandated in every retail store and stores could lose their license if they allow unmasked people inside. Tyranny.
Work mandates it Doc. Not worth losing my job over. Sorry. Call me a sheep. Blame me for the fall of the Republic. I have kids pending college in a year and a half
Oregon just raised its mask requirement to include all workplaces.
I totally get it. We do what we need to do to work.
But you probably wouldn’t wear a mask if hiking the Cheatham Hill Loop on Kennesaw Mountain, right?
I have run that sucker nine billion times, and you may pass by people, but they are probably running, so they go by you before you can even inhale. You are out in the wilderness, out in the glorious sun. Your job has no mandates in a state park.
Yet I see people in such spaces with masks as well, and I don’t get that at all.

Yes, any outdoor masking up is just crazy.
I sure has hell did not this Saturday with the Scouts.
But I do in the Kroger because they ask nicely. I am being polite.
Masks will be required for the rest of my life. (I’m 64) Accepting all edicts from the state by so many people has shown that this is not the America I grew up in.
I’ve been increasingly mourning this fact for the past four years at least.
