When I first heard the “93% peaceful” item a few weeks ago, I thought, “They’re telling me that I should welcome someone to my home because they’re going to trash my home only one time out of 20 visits.”
If someone I invite into my home will trash my home only once every 20 visits, would I ever invite that person to my home? My answer was “No.”
A group that trashes my city 5% of the time is a group that is not peaceful.
It’s one of my rules of thumb:
If someone makes a big claim and their result includes “97%,” they’re almost certainly lying.
It gets down to liar’s strategy.
100% is just flat unbelievable. Same for 99%. 98% is a little boring. But 97%? Yeah, that starts sounding plausible. It’s one of those “science-sounding” numbers.
Anything below that and people just don’t twitch enough.
…and once you start looking for it, you notice just how many dubious claims start out with “97%.”
She’s lazy. She won’t run.
I didn’t say she’d run. But this is the time to grab some cheap attention to keep that option open.
The technical answer is that she is qualified if she meets the constitutional requirements. The only other “qualification” is that she gets enough votes.
The answer to the question I think you are actually asking is that there is a lot more feeling than thinking going on with most people.

After George Zimmerman successfully protected himself against Treyvon Martin, we found out he was a “white Hispanic.” Apparently Hispanics come in a wide variety of colors, so I would imagine assigning them all as “brown” would be an insult . . .
Finally, some diversity in the Latino Community.
I read where the Proud Boys are following suit, with Black, Latino, and even Asian White Supremacists.
How’s that for woke?
If they were truly “peaceful,” they would ruthlessly police their own formations, their own marches. The “peaceful protestors” know and intent that they will be the shields for the real action. This is the radical difference from the real civil rights marches of the 1960s.
