Tom Ridge Sniffs Joe Biden’s Hair
Former (Republican) Pennsylvania Governor and Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge has endorsed Joe Biden. Ridge has apparently never been enthralled by — first candidate and then President Trump — because “civility and respect, not … childish name-calling and [T]witter tirades.”
Yes, Biden is truly civil and respectful. Just ask Justice Clarence Thomas. If you want to be disgusted by the electronic lynching conducted by a “civil and respectful” man read through Ann Althouse’s post this morning.
Of course, Ridge assures us that “Vice President Biden and I both know that supporting his candidacy now certainly won’t dissuade me from speaking out later when I disagree with him.” Wow, that will be comforting under a Harris-AOC Administration.
Former Governor Ridge urges us to “put country over party.” Is that what Joe Biden is doing?
I am completely fed up with NT “Republicans” signing up for the Progressive agenda because of President Trump’s personal style. Tell us which policies that Trump has implemented that they would prefer the Democrat agenda instead.
The only ones I can think of are war over peace and uni-party decorum based on decades-long accommodations of personal trough gorging. I recall a statement made by a government executive upon the retirement of a government worker going to work for a federal contractor: “He will be continuing to eat from the same trough, but he is going to the end where the swill is richer.”
Tom Ridge is and has been in the same trough with Joe Biden for decades. Nothing must be permitted to endanger the trough.

We know about the Carrion Class. They, like you are willing to punish millions of poor Americans to salve their wounded pride. And they are eagerly waiting in expectation of picking over the carcass of the Republican Party should Trump lose.
They are truly disgusting people.
Trump.
I can’t believe I did that wrong. 1 over cabin…
Biden has said and done many rude, awful, even despicable things over his NEARLY FIFTY YEARS!!! in “public service” while accomplishing pretty much nothing, but apparently you don’t care about that.
I had a long Ricochet-free lie-in this morning so missed the comments as they were made. But have now caught up and administered my “likes”. So this is probably a good time to share Rodin’s 5 rules of “liking”:
I voted for Cruz in the primaries, although I think there was a pretty good chance he would have lost to Hillary, as indeed most people EXPECTED Trump to also lose. But once Trump became the nominee, I sure wasn’t going to sit on my prissy ass at home or vote “third party” or whatever, and let Hillary win without a fight. I’m man enough to say that I’m glad the rest of the primary voters brought us Trump, but apparently some people aren’t.
And if Trump lost by an even greater margin in 2024, who would you prefer?
Are you familiar with the career of Republican Minnesota Governor Harold Stassen?
Yeah, it was probably better that Trump was the candidate. It took me quite a while to come to that conclusion.
Without Trump the GOPe is finished. When Biden and Co. pack SCOTUS, eliminate the Electoral College, and so on, the country is over. People in flyover country will not consent to be ruled by fools in CA, NY, OR, MASS, and like-minded dictators. You can be proud of what you have accomplished if you and Bullwank manage to get your way.
At least until the left decides that those useful idiots are no longer useful.
Maybe people who don’t hang out in the PIT should see this as well. It’s a hint at how corrupt the Demos are:
You don’t understand. I actually LIKE Trump’s policies. That’s it. If someone else came along with the same policies and has the cojones to follow through, than sure. But I actually LIKE Trump. And I have since he started blowing up the air waves with “racist” statements like “Mexico doesn’t send us their best.” If its true, its true. And someone willing to say true things is far more likely to follow through with their policies.
I didn’t vote for Romney. I did not vote for McCain. I voted for Bush in my first election ever. I’ve been a primary voter until Trump.
I like Trump.
I haven’t voted for a GOPe candidate since 2000. I didn’t bother to vote in 2016 because CA was a foregone conclusion for Hillary. This time, I’m voting for Trump and if the GOPe takes over in 2024, I’ll never vote GOPe again. Trump policies because we won’t settle anymore.
I think there are a lot of people like you, and very few – if any – who voted for Trump in 2016 but won’t in 2020 Because Reasons.
It would be nice if there are enough of you to put the popular vote over for Trump too, which I think would put a fast stop to this “national popular vote compact” BS coming from some loony states. Although it would be fun if they went ahead and did that, only to find it works against them in the future like Harry Reid blowing up the judicial filibuster, etc.
It would be especially fun if they do that compact thing, and then when it works against them, they take themselves to court arguing that the compact must be overturned because it’s unconstitutional.
I just looked him up and based on a quick and dirty Wiki on his political positions, the answer would be a resounding NO, just like the majority of Republicans in all the years he ran.
UBI? Really?
Very well put. I end up feeling the same way.
Well there’s always “a mathematician got invited to a party”.
I think this is an odd formulation. They weren’t “running against Trump” they were running for President. It’s weird how everything about you that isn’t Reagan is about Trump.
Do tell. I don’t remember that one.
I don’t believe it.
It’s an imaginary set.
I’m sorry your mathematicians didn’t have/didn’t go to parties.
Most of them, but you wouldn’t understand them.
Up against a wall right next to you, Gary.
