Then, and Now
We will never forget, and we must eventually turn our attention back to the age-old conflict between an intolerant and supremacist faith and the radical jihadists who will kill to impose it on the west.
But barbarism comes in many forms. Today the barbarians loot and burn and deface our cities in their inchoate rage. Like the attackers of 19 years ago, they wear the mantle of smug self-righteousness. And like the attackers of 19 years ago, their aim is to tear down western civilization and replace it with something worse.
What they have in common, the jihadists of Islam and the jihadists of socialism and radicalism and Antifa and Black Lives Matter, is not what they believe but what they detest: tolerance, free speech, free markets, freedom of conscience, the rule of law and our equality under it — all of the things that make the west, that make America, great.
Never forget 9/11. But also, pay attention to what is happening today.

Amen. And when I saw this article about the New Afrikan [sic] Black Panther Party and seven of its foot soldiers who were arrested for rioting in New York earlier this week (none of whom appears to be either Afrikan or Black), I realized that another thing they have in common with so many jihadists of Islam are privileged backgrounds, plenty of money, and the best education the West has to offer (or what passes for it these days, anyway).
Neither ’cause’ has anything to do with oppression, poverty, or illiteracy, and those who truly are oppressed, poor and illiterate are just tools to be preyed upon and used. When the time is right and they have nothing useful left to offer (when their bodies and their lives are no longer needed in order to pad the narrative and fuel the outrage), they will be trampled on and thrown away. History is chock full of such examples. No wonder the Left is so adamant about removing it from the curriculum.
And once the purges start, these stupid, do-gooder, children and their ilk, who will never be other than objects of suspicion and loathing, and who are, themselves just more useful idiots for the people actually running the show and encouraging the chaos, will be next.
Just watched the beginning of the NYC 9/11 memorial service. Maybe Biden and Schumer will take a knee at the singing of the National Anthem? Maybe Colin Kaepernick would like to explain to some 9/11 parents how evil America is?
