Netflix Trafficking in Child Pornography

Our culture’s quick slide downhill has hit an oil slick on its downward trajectory, and man, is it speeding to the absolute bottom. The popular streaming service Netflix has announced a new movie called “Cuties,” coming out in early September featuring 11-year-old girls involved in a “twerking” competition.

This is the full synopsis:

Eleven-year-old Amy lives with her mom, Mariam, and younger brother, awaiting her father to rejoin the family from Senegal. Amy is fascinated by disobedient neighbor Angelica’s free-spirited dance clique, a group that stands in sharp contrast to stoic Mariam’s deeply held traditional values. Undeterred by the girls’ initial brutal dismissal and eager to escape her family’s simmering dysfunction, Amy, through an ignited awareness of her burgeoning femininity, propels the group to enthusiastically embrace an increasingly sensual dance routine, sparking the girls’ hope to twerk their way to stardom at a local dance contest.

In other words, it’s a movie about a child from a traditional household where morality is taught, being groomed by her peers and sexualized for the pleasure of adult onlookers. And that grooming and sexualization is the happy ending of the movie.

The only hope we have of this movie getting pulled isn’t its foray into pedophilia, but it’s anti-Islamic messaging. The filmmakers made the mistake of making the conservative religious nature of the main character’s parents Islamic in nature, instead of Christian or Jewish.

The film Little Miss Sunshine pioneered this plotline, but it does seem the # Me too movement’s moment in the sun was brief.

This must be a function of it having been made in Europe. I imagine that morally conservative Muslims greatly outnumber morally conservative Christian natives over there.

Pedophilia will be normalized by the left within a generation.

Nobody thought that we would be arguing about transgender bathrooms and socialized transgender healthcare twenty years ago. This was on the fringe. And look where we are now. The sexualization of children currently occupies the fringe, but you can already see it creeping up the ladder of discourse.

Progressives never stop. They never have, at any point in history. Conservatives need to grow a spine and not make any concessions to these people.

I live in France and have 3 children, 2 of whom are in public school. I have come to think of LGBT and Islam as a kind of nuclear deterrence policy. They cancel each other out, and buy some time for families like mine to breathe. But it’s an uneasy peace.

The kids in public schools here under Francois Hollande were reading My Dad Wears a Skirt, but guess who objected and got it pulled? The Jews you say? No, they don’t stick their heads above the parapet here. The Catholics? Never would we listen to colonialists and collaborateurs! We had to be more discreet out of consideration for our good friends, the Muslims.

I just found the trailer and I am sick.
The worst is not only that people have made such a movie about little girls, but I can hear the reactions of people I know: “Wow super! So liberating!” “You must be incredibly repressed to object to this.” And so we open the door to pedophilia.

I have to point out the latent racism. It occurs to me that they get away with it, they get Netflix to promote it by making the protagonist black. Because black people have rythme, right? They can DANCE ! A white girl in that role would have set a whole different tone to the movie. Correct me if I am wrong. Liberal left racism spotlighted.

About 10 years ago I was in a Leadership Academy for my town.  Over the year, each of us had one day where we prepared a program (daylong) about a different aspect of the town.  One of the programs was about education prepared by a young black principal of a middle school that was majority minority.  Part of the visit to the school involved different student groups putting on performances to music.  Granted a lot of popular black music does lend itself to sexy dances.

After watching 2 different girls’ groups (ages 10-12) do what I thought were pretty explicit dances, I asked him if he was disturbed by the highly sexualized nature of their routines.  He shook his head and said, “That’s all they want to do these days.”  I’m sure similar things happen in many of the schools and I’m not pointing a finger at minority ones.

But I thought it was a shame that things had gotten to the point that a young, energetic principal didn’t feel that he could rein things back.

Contraception and abortion normalized extra-marital sex. Then we got busy normalizing homosexual sex and capped it off with SSM. Is anyone really surprised to see sex with children on the next normalization horizon? NAMBLA has been around since 1978.

    Weep for the West.

    Bethany,

Thanks for nailing this outrage for us. I have called the Democrats the Party of Perversity. This has been their theme for the last 100 years, anything goes.  Magically, all of Western Civilization’s sexual morality was wrong. Even though this morality was integral in the West’s rise to economic, intellectual, and civil success, somehow it was all wrong. Now in the magical modern age, anything goes.

This is pure pedophilia. Jeffery Epstein was just a lecherous bastard in comparison, chasing after 16-year-old girls. This is the real thing, pure evil, the sexual abuse of children. We should give credit where credit is due. This is the nightmare of sexual amorality that the left-wing has been perpetrating in this society for a century. All that is left is to start worshiping Moloch and go on to human child sacrifice. Why not, anything goes.

Chalk one up for the Party of Perversity. Voting for them is like voting for mental illness. Truly we are entering the Temple of Doom.

    Regards,

    Jim

Let us not forget our own network television shows promoting and getting all excited about the young boys who are making up as girls and going to gay bars to get dollar bills stuffed under their garters. The mother makes a living forcing her son to do this, and our morning news shows thought they were so brave and edgy!

Between this stuff and the Cardi B song, Wet Ass P___y, which had over 100 million views on YouTube within days of release, and the men allowed in girls restrooms, etc., I pray for God to either bring a great awakening or go ahead and end this. Sodom and Gomorrah were pikers!

If we don’t put a stop to this depravity we will fully deserve our just reward. WE should be the ones “peacefully demonstrating” at the homes and offices of Netflix, media executives, advertisers, and all purveyors of trash like this. Instead we put our heads down and hope it will all go away. (As we hand tablets and iPhones to our children).

Has anyone seen a list of ways to get in touch with Netflix execs?

    Probably backlash for Muslim obstinacy.

I have soften  on Muslims considerably in the last couple of years. I now realize the State is a much greater and nearer enemy to me than Islamic extremism. In fact, scapegoating Muslims has been a tool used by the State to justify their power (especially after the fall of the Soviet Union).

    Podkayne,

I will stand by my original.

    per·ver·si·ty
    /pərˈvərsədē/
    noun: perversity; plural noun: perversities
    1.
a deliberate desire to behave in an unreasonable or unacceptable way; contrariness.
    “they responded with typical perversity”
    2.
the quality of being contrary to accepted standards or practice.
“the perversity of being able to carry a gun but not purchase a drink”
    3.
the quality of being sexually perverted.

    per·ver·sion
    /pərˈvərZHən/
    noun
    1.
the alteration of something from its original course, meaning, or state to a distortion or corruption of what was first intended.
    2.
sexual behavior or desire that is considered abnormal or unacceptable.

Their definitions are very close. However, perversity implies a more general attitude. Thus the Democrats should be credited with perverting many more aspects of life and culture than only sexuality. Let’s give credit where credit is due.

    Regards,

    Jim

In my more lucid moments I stop myself from thinking the way you describe. If Western Civilization ever degenerates to the point where we turn to the 7th century Mecca for guidance and direction, that will not be a good time.

I don’t equate the State with Western Civilization. I believe it is a remnant of paganism. We have tried for centuries to synthesize the State (violence/domination) with Christianity (nonviolence/service). The more blended the two, the worse it is for Christianity. One of the great innovation of modern civilization has been the separation of the Church from the State.

If this is a French movie, then is it really part of the cultural vanguard or an expression of the same culture that sheltered Matzneff, which is on it’s way out?

I see what you mean. But I live in Western Europe & tho I have calmed down considerably since 2015-16 (que sera sera), I can’t be blasé about Islam. Douglas Murray warns against the tendency to minimize Muslims faced with this godless non-culture. Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

I wish people with normal moral systems didn’t have to rely for a solitary dissenting voice on a totalizing theocratic system which enslaves women.

They are SO, SO, SO sorry in a Tweet:  @netflix We’re deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for Mignonnes/Cuties. It was not OK, nor was it representative of this French film which won an award at Sundance. We’ve now updated the pictures and description.

Bethany, when you say she’s being groomed by her peers, do you mean, in the movie’s story, that girls the main character’s age are used by someone to lure her into pornography or prostitution ?

Is there any way of seeing the movie before Netflix brings it out in September ?
