Verbosity, verbosity
Rob’s put a price on thee.
My experience thus far: 504, 504, 504, interrupted by the occasional 404. Underwhelmed so far.
What exactly are the enhancements?
I don’t want to have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page every time I want to post a comment.
Please add a “post comment” button above the comments.
I’m a very busy person, after all, and it takes precious seconds out of my day.
;-)
Hi,
What happened to the people and conversations I was following? Did they not come over to 2.0 or am I just not seeing it?
Yeah, I liked that, too. But what you do is open in a new tab (how you do that depends on your browser) so that the original page is just as you left it.
They haven’t finished moving the data over yet. Yeti is physically running from server to server with a floppy disk, and manually copying the data. Could take a while.
Me too, however it looks like we are both doing OK now. BTW, I never changed my pasword. Is that a problem?
Hmmm, let’s see. What happens if I push this little button over h
James, get a Capital One card…no exchange fees, prime exchange rate.
That doesn’t seem to help me much!
They’ve monetized clean code. The Reagan Membership comes w/out x04s.
They used the only thumb drive to save off my giraffe thread and then throw it into a volcano according to Troy.
Win.
Suggestion:
The blue “More” bars at the bottom of each post are a UI mistake. The only way to actually get “more” of the post is to click on the word its self. The blue bar would indicate that it is a clickable surface and the entire thing should lead to reading more of the post.
The performance has picked up noticeably over the past hours. Also, the differential among Safari, Chrome, and IE isn’t as great.
I don’t seem to be able to “LIKE” anything (that’s a technical issue, not a side-effect of depression or anything like that). Others can, apparently, or those little parenthetical numbers wouldn’t be there.
Am I going to have to become a spendthrift in order to like things again?
Is it just me, or are others seeing a very slow page load time from the Ricochet server?
Nice format. Attractive…but slow as molasses. This comment section seems to show me as “Anonymous” even though I am logged in and everything else has my screen name.
I will be patient.
My 504s have become 502s. If this is a countdown, it’s going to be a long week.
The site has become much more stable for me (Firefox) since the day began. Likes and Follows work at least some of the time, if delayed. The site is useable at this point. But I still wouldn’t recommend making any pitches for new members anytime soon.
I think I really like this …
What are nested comments? Is the top portion of the site going to be completed or will it remain an eyesore?
This comment is nested. It happens when you click “reply” to a post. “Quote” works as it did in 1.0.
See here for examples:

That’s all we ask…
The design looks much more crisp, if that word makes any sense at all.
