Recommended by Ricochet Members Created with Sketch. Two Americas. Two Sets of Rights.

George Orwell continues to teach us that “all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.” There are two Americas. One where this is not only acceptable but protected speech:

…and the other where this is not:

And to drive home the point further, black lives matter but some black lives are more important than others. Of the tens of millions of aborted children – the majority have been black children, thanks to eugenicist Margaret Sanger’s racist agenda to cleanse America of what she felt was the inferior African-American race:

“We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

Is it any wonder why there are more Planned Parenthood facilities located in predominantly black neighborhoods? This systemic racist extermination program has transformed America from a nation that at its founding placed due value of the individual, after thousands of years of subjugation, to a nation that vacates that essential idea by allowing an industry that murders children and sells their body parts.

If you believe that black lives matter, if you’re inclined to vote for Joe Biden, a “Catholic” who promotes abortion to garner votes in opposition to the teaching of his faith; or because Donald Trump is occasionally rude — then you are helping to prolong and expand this campaign of genocide.

A nation that continues to preserve and protect this horrific industry may now be paying the price for its embrace of evil.

Chalk is defacing property, but paint is freedom of speech. Main feed please.

Seriously, when I heard the sidewalk chalk story my head exploded.

Graffiti floor to roof all over our cities, but sidewalk chalk is a crime?

Chalk . . . a substance the rain will wash away. Paint, not so easily removed . . .

I want to know from any current and former police officers here, how do these cops square this? They arrest these young people for doing something kids do on my street and sidewalk everyday, yet when a more permanent paint is allowed to be used elsewhere. Good for these young people for showing the hypocrisy of it all.

I believe this took place in our nation’s capital.

The Metropolitan Police Department’s reason for the arrest of the pro-life advocates is pathetically lame especially since BLM and other domestic terrorist groups are allowed to deface public and private property with impunity. They refused to answer any questions on their double-standard.

Well, lets understand it is not about paint or chalk, but the ideas expressed using either paint, chalk, or any other material.

Regarding the arrest, it does strike me as viewpoint discrimination. I think many people will live under harsh rules if it applies to everyone. Very few people will live under “good rules” if it only applies to certain people based on their convenience to the ruling class. That isn’t liberalism.

Removing this one step from the abortion debates….I can’t help but wonder how long if an admitted pro-Nazi group had been threatening a federal building or even just looming around a downtown….before there would be local police response followed if ineffective by screeching calls for the President to send in some kind of major force?

Brian, in our city, Pensacola, a group filed for a permit to paint a BLUE LIVES MATTER sign on a street after the BLM received a permit — in record short time – to paint their slogan on a city street. This reply followed –quickly:

This kind of the most blatant imaginable double standard conduct by those in government is certainly not pouring oil on the troubled waters of any city, and especially our city which is in the middle of a most contentious debate, to put it most charitably, over the vote of the City Council to remove a 130 year old Memorial to Confederate Dead from a prominent location in the downtown area of the city. Here is the monument; it really is quite beautiful and no one knows how long it will be standing in Lee Square where it has stood untouched, until recently when Antifa-type thug(s) vandalized it with red paint, and almost unnoticed for over a century:

Interestingly, I just read a piece in the Wall Street Journal (in the editorial section, a/k/a the place where the adults work) about the recently deceased John Lewis, RIP, who would not agree to a move to replace the name of the Pettus Bridge, named for a Confederate General and leader of the KKK, with his own name in honor of his service to the Civil Rights Movement. His reasoning was that “The Edmund Pettus name represents the truth of the American story. You can change the name but you cannot change the facts of history.” A very wise man, indeed. What a shame that all of these virtue-signalling, “woke” groups, like the Mayor and City Council of Pensacola, could not show some of that great man’s courage and bravery and wisdom.

Thanks for your great post; I only wish it were not so spot on.

    Sincerely, Jim.

@brianwatt, here is what I hope is a clearer image of the response of the city official:

Thanks, Jim. It seems to me that there is a desperate need to have a conservative version of the ACLU to file lawsuits every time these basic liberties getting taken away by local and state governments and Leftist groups are allowed freedoms that millions of Americans apparently don’t have anymore. I can’t believe that there aren’t enough patriotic attorneys in this country willing to donate their time and talents to preserving those basic freedoms.

Brian, here is the logo of the group which has filed suit on our behalf; it operates out of the Tampa region. I had offered to help on a pro bono basis, but am limited as I am not licensed to practice in Florida to which we moved two years ago after a long career at the Bar in Louisiana. They have obtained a preliminary injunction against the City pending further proceedings, which are scheduled for later this month. I have assisted to the small extent I can. However, if you hear of a need for a “used, but not used up”, battle scarred Trial Lawyer in such a circumstance, by all means send them to what is left of the law firm of George and George (The Lady Judith holding the controlling interest of said Law Corporation, of course.) and we’ll try to help, free of charge, of course. Sincerely, Jim.

The one thing that really grips me is that if the Right / Tea Party / conservatives/ 2A guys were “peaceful protesting” there would be the governments boots on their necks immediately, with jail and police executions in the streets.
The Left does what it wants, as it wants and laws are ignored or interpreted away. Only the Right has to follow laws that are increasing rapidly changing by fiat with maximum penalties applied.
