A Night with Yoo and You
John Yoo, distinguished Professor of Law, McRib aficionado and resident legal analyst on the Ricochet Podcast, has a new book coming out – Defender In Chief: Donald Trump’s Fight for Presidential Power.
And on Wednesday night, August 5th he’ll be taking your questions on a Member’s Event Zoomcast hosted by Law Talk‘s Troy Senik.
Sharpen your pencils and your minds and bring your best questions! (And if you’re not a member, you can be!) Who knows? You might even win an autographed copy of the book!

Yoo, Yoo, Yoo!,
Sorry, John, I got carried away.
Regards,
Jim
If conservatives had groupies, I’d be one for John Yoo. Woo hoo! :)
He’s overrated
Troy,
Don’t be a wet blanket. He just needs a little theme music.
Regards,
Jim
I’d love to have John Yoo as a professor. I’m not so sure about Richard Epstein.
Say it ain’t so, Troy. Say it ain’t so!
I feel confident he’d live up to my expectations, even though he’s a lawyer, because at least he’s not a politician. :)
I’d even go eat at McDonalds with him, and I have not had a meal at McDonalds in about thirty years.
I mean, I still wouldn’t eat the McRib, but I could choke down some French fries and a strawberry shake.
Nice ad.
So how, exactly, do we join this zoomcast?
Next week we will post the link inside a pinned post on the member feed. Just follow the link.
He better be eating a McRib
So that’s what Friedrich von Trapp was going on about…
I am really interested in checking this out. I love the Law Talk podcast too much. Though I am interested in how John squares his early criticism of Trump with, what I understand from the recent Ricochet podcast, his approval of his overall governance.
Also, we need Adrian Vermeule on a podcast. I’d love to know what Yoo thinks the AV both in terms of his actual beliefs and just about maybe being the “odd man out” in the faculty.
Where the hell have you been, Troy?
Regarding royalties, I believe the standard rate is 15% for the author.
Greg Mankiw has made 42 million dollars from his economics textbook.
He no longer teaches intro economics at Harvard – can you blame him?
