Mayor Durkan Meets Karma
The woman who let 30,000 residents suffer the robbery, assault, rape, and murder of CHOP is now outraged. That a lefty councilwoman led CHOPers to the mayor’s house with its double plus secret address (she was a US attorney) to share with her a fraction of the torment and abuse that she pronounced as “the Summer of Love”. From the Blaze:
Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan expressed outrage after Black Lives Matter protesters showed up at her home Sunday afternoon, despite her previous support and defense of the “CHOP” encampment.
Protesters targeted her home after Durkan announced last week that the city would no longer support the Capitol Hill Organized Protest encampment and would seek to remove the concrete barriers that helped define the autonomous zone. But the CHOP remains intact.
Durkan released a statement expressing her anger at the protest. She was especially upset that Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant had joined the protesters at her home.
“Mayor Durkan and her family are in the state program to keep their address confidential because of the death threats mostly related to her work as Seattle’s U.S. Attorney under President Obama. Instead of working to make true change, Councilmember Sawant continues to choose political stunts,” read the statement from her office.
“Tonight she did so without regard for the safety of the Mayor and her family. The Mayor was not even home — she was working at City Hall. Seattle can and should peacefully demonstrate but should not put families and children at risk,” the statement concluded.
The whole kit and caboodle should move in with her and leave Capital Hill alone. In fact, this would make an awesome trend if all the rioters across the nation would converge on the residences of the politicians that are enabling them, leaving Americans to live their lives in peace and prosperity.

Sisyphus,
I knew it. There surely is a Gd in heaven. Oh, joy! Let them trash this infernal idiot’s house.
Justice, justice, yea shall pursue. I’ll take justice any way I can get it.
Yeeesssss!!!
Regards,
Jim
Good
Oh, and yesterday’s shootings of a 16 year old (dead) and a 14 year old (critical) did not move her to act. But this, this is the outrage! Trampled my geraniums, Precious! Death penalty for every last trespasser, Precious!
I can’t wait to see who Seattle elects next in 17 months. Can they top this one?
Sisyphus,
You make the point all too well. I wish the parents of those kids would sue this useless sick “deleted” for every penny she’s worth and then some.
Regards,
Jim
Durken’s simply today where Olympia, Wash., mayor Cheryl Selby was two weeks ago, when her cheering on of Antifa and #BLM protestors took a sudden negative turn when it was her home that was being vandalized. Apparently hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness is pandemic among progressive female Washington State mayors (while down the coast, progressive Portland mayor Ted Wheeler didn’t let his virtue signaling stop him from being proactive in getting police to kick Antifa out of his neighborhood before they could create their own autonomous zone)
Now that would make one hell of a reality TV show.
The reason they came after you, Mayor Durkan, is because you’ve already rolled over once. They own you now.
Speaking of “owned”, from a new article on KOMO referring to the “restoration” of Cal Anderson Park:
The Seattle Parks Department is now in the hands of the Urban Terrorists. You trash the park, we fix it for future use of those who trash the park.
And from over at my personal blog:
https://rushbabe49.com/2020/06/30/jenny-durkan-the-mayor-of-seattle-is-racist-and-black-lives-dont-seem-to-matter-to-her/
Fear and loathing in Seattle.
As much as I dislike the mayor, I can only hope she is successful in getting the scourge of our city council removed.
Gee, sounds like the pot’s calling the kettle… oh. Guess we, uh, can’t say that anymore.
(¬‿¬)
The revolution will not be televised. It will be live-streamed from every hot spot from sea to shining sea in such quantity that a single historian would require a million years just to catalog it all.
Nice party, mayor. But we’ll have to take you in now for hosting an unsafe event under the Covid rules.
What gets me was her hypocrisy and almost gleeful dismissiveness of what was happening in the CHAZ. When Trump tweeted about she responded by saying something like “everything is fine, don’t be scared of democracy.” She thought she was clapping back. (I’m glad we are governed by people who want twitter clout, because why not?)
Ostensibly this all had something to do with George Floyd and the idea that we should care more about black lives. Yet two black teenager got yeeted (one fatality) in the CHAZ, which I guess had her semi-official support and it isn’t clear who in authority really cares about their lives. It isn’t clear who in the protest movement cares since it was CHAZ “security” who did the shooting. All the people getting shot and public/media attention was centered on two white homeowners in St Louis area who had their guns out. It is somewhat demoralizing actually.
Now that’s what I call “social justice!”
Well, to be fair, it’s extremely important for the effectiveness of a protest for the park to be brought back up to standard. If all you are doing is painting over the old graffiti, it truly doesn’t have the same impact. Kind of like bombing the rubble. You still just have rubble.
Mayor Durkan may be looking for a new PR flack. Sounds like you’ve got a gift for that.
They infiltrated our institutions and destroyed them from the inside. Only fair that we get the same opportunity.
You really hit the nail on the head here. The idea isn’t to build a new, better system. The idea is to whine and complain about the current one. If pressed, these spoiled children wouldn’t have the foggiest idea of how to recreate even a fraction of the world of opportunity they’ve been given, the one they are currently destroying.
Marx also had no idea of how to build his socialist utopia or even what it would look like. He argued that the new society, the historically inevitable successor to capitalism, would have to evolve. That would have made sense if he were willing to let it evolve, but he wanted revolution. He wanted to burn down capitalism so that utopia could organically spring from its ashes – a utopia for which he had no blueprint. The practical result is that people like Marx, Alinsky, and the spoiled children of CHAZ/CHOP know only how to destroy.
As has been and continues to be proven at CHAZ/CHOP. The last two victims, juveniles, were apparently shot by CHOP security. Two black juveniles. People have been known to take the law into their own hands over such an atrocity, and Durkan preapproves all mass violence. Because all lives matter, not just the ones some Communist agitator raises as an idol to guide useful idiots to serve as cannon fodder for the insurrection.
And this is what you get when activists get elected to city councils and mayors cave to them.
Weeks ago Oaklanders marched on Mayor Schaaf’s house.
She just announced a plan for a guaranteed basic income. She was blinking so hard through the video I thought she was pulling a Jeremiah Denton. Add this to her insane remarks about the Lake Merritt non-nooses, more calls for police defunding and you see panicked leadership grasping at anything to quiet the tantrums.
I’ve been fantasizing about what to do with the “BLM” paint on that street between the White House and vandalized Church in D.C. That street belongs to all of us, not for undemocratic display by one organization especially if a partisan flag or less controversial organization emblem would be prohibited. Of course, no one asked permission. I think there should be a quiet cover coating applied over the Mayor’s creativity once someone at the Fed level can think of a safety reason, applied at night as a surprise response. But if the street is isn’t really essential for security access, etc. and is under federal jurisdiction, why not other creative solutions so as not to create a “graffiti war”?
Something like unpaintable spiky covering with permanent barricades at each end (we’ve know how to build those since the occupation of Baghdad)? Or grind up the whole thing, put in a pedestrian access to the chuch if not already there, and replant as grassy park (disadvantage = camping protestors). So maybe pressure-sensitive automatic tear gas dispensers under the grass?
Suddenly the Mayor discovers it’s not a block party
When the politicians betray the police, they lose their most important line of defense against the insurrection. They still have not figured out they are now in a US version of Mogadishu of their own making. The militias are forming on all sides in the intentional vacuum left by defunding the police and releasing prisoners at a record rate for recruitment into said militias.
For this generation, they will not talk about useful idiots. They will talk about durkans.
Trap doors. Crocodiles. Give the more able an escape chute that leads into the abattoir they use in preparing box lunches for the next day’s protesters.
Wait. That would be mean. Never mind.
I guess the “Summer of Love” has ended early.
An unconfirmed Churchill quote goes: “Americans can always be trusted to do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been exhausted.”
Even Mayor Durkan.
From KOMO News:
Boy, you march on one mayor’s house and it’s all “party over”! She’s no fun!
And the mayor was able to conduct that mission successfully without the 82nd Airborne. Wow.
Sawant is an aggressive and deadly virus in the middle of a complacent council, most of whom have been preoccupied with sweetheart city deals to further their friends’ coffers as they administer a budget of $6.5 billion this year. When you have one-party rule, there is no one with a contrary perspective to watch over political mischief or come up with creative solutions resulting from thinking outside the box. Go along to get along is the motto here in very blue Seattle.
I recognized this quote, voiced over in snippets in the opening credits of Season 6 of Homeland as, [SCOTT-HERON] “The revolution will not be televised, not be televised. There will be no reruns. You will not be able to stay home, brother. You will not be able to be able plug in, turn on, and cop out. The revolution will put you in the driver’s seat. The revolution will not be televised, not be televised. There will be no reruns. The revolution will be live.”
Pretty chilling stuff from the 70’s.
In the 60’s era of black and white television, this reminds me of the opening credits of a science fiction show. “There is nothing wrong with your television set…” In the Wikipedia article, it said the poem mentioned or alluded to several television series. I wouldn’t be surprised if one wasn’t The Outer Limits.
