Jeff is my older brother. When he was a young man, he read about Job in the Bible. He was impressed with Job’s integrity and decided from that time on that he would be a “man of integrity.” He also had good examples with Dad, Grandpa Mitchell, and our uncles. (Grandpa Mitchell died on Father’s Day in 1994.) Jeff has always been a good example to me. He’s always been a man of his word. I also married a man of integrity!
I’m grateful for the men in my life and the way they love me and my kids.

Fathers are so important in a child’s life, and we’ve allowed liberal social policies from welfare to feminism to minimize them. We have to bring it back. As a daughter, my own dad showed me by example how a man is supposed to treat his wife. He never explained it out loud or anything, he just lived his life as a husband. So fathers are important in more ways than just as an example to sons. My dad showed his daughters what we can and should expect from a man, and what we don’t have to put up with.

I agree! We’re fortunate to be surrounded by great men. It gives a girl a good starting point for dating. Integrity matters.
Congrats on your smart pick. If you got integrity you got a man; men are simple, that’s all there is to us. Congrats on his, too.
Women are nice. They make us feel like Superman. Concerning what you lot are, which is not Superman, I will say this. Eventually we figure it out, but it takes a long time, and most of what you did, we never will never know. We were busy doing something. Nowadays, we watch our daughters doing it, and listen as you convey the wisdom of your experience to them. We see that they are starting to become Superwoman, slowly. AJ, over there in his Mom’s arms, is two months now. Mom is so much more Super than she was a month ago or 9 months ago, but she was already doing things that neither her Superman nor I can never do.
But we like that you never say it. If a wife and mother were to try to SAY what she is, she’s stop being that. Just as if I were to say, “I am Superman”, I would immediately not be Superman, and everyone would know it except dummies.
Y’all are Superwoman, and we don’t even know the details of what you gave up, and what you did, to make you Superwoman.
