Mordechai Would Not Kneel

“And all the king’s servants who were in the king’s gate would kneel and prostrate themselves before Haman . . . but Mordecai would neither kneel nor prostrate himself.” (Esther 3:2)

Lately we have seen more and more people getting down on one knee (or two) seeking forgiveness of the mob and some kiss the boots or wash the feet of its representatives. There are plenty of photos and videos you can access on this subject.

The mayor of Los Angeles has gotten into the act.

Amazon is on board.

And the NFL is doing a mea culpa:

“We, the National Football League, believe that black lives matter.”

I could put up dozens of photos and video clips of police kneeling. It makes me physically ill to look at them, however, and I won’t subject you to them here.

If Democrats and BLM rise to power and take control of our cities, schools, and corporations, it will soon be mandatory to kneel and kiss boots on demand, or maybe doing so will become a voluntary gesture of respect for our tyrannical leaders.

The whole idea of acknowledging “white privilege” and using it to help the helpless blacks is condescending if not racist.

So ironic: BLM demands respect while they have no self-respect!

My problem is with the term “the Black community.” I don’t care about the upper case, but this phrase implies that there is just one black community, and that it is “other.”

Absolutely. Another case of self-denigration, implying that all people with dark skin are the same.

But would Mordechai use a Mazel Tov cocktail?

That’s what you serve at a Bar Mitzvah.

Don’t worry. It won’t be your turn for a long time yet.

    Man’s religious nature went haywire.

The need for religion is as basic as the need for bread and water. Monotheism has served us well.  But the idolatry of the left with its freak icons and code words (womyn, BLM, LGBTQ, trans) is a dangerous faith.

I was reading that showing respect to another by nodding or bowing was quite alright by Mordecai.  The problem was that Haman saw himself as a potential ruler of the entire world, putting himself on par with God and thus made bowing to him a kind of idol worship. So too with the BLM and other permanently aggrieved groups. They will not be satisfied until they rule the world, assuming any of it remains after their reign of terror.
