Music that Makes Me…Wanna Dance
Okay, Ricochet, this is your chance to shine. I only have a few offerings in this category, so it will be heavily dependent on you. Here’s what I’ve got. Start with something obvious:
One of my old favorites:
And another high-energy song:
What music gets your hands clapping, your feet tapping, and your derriere up out of the chair?

Absolutely the easiest music to dance to is The Grateful Dead. Or reggae, for that matter, because it’s the same dance either way. All you have to do is alternately flex one thigh while standing in place. If you want to get fancy, you can tilt your head back and forth, but you don’t have to, it’s a personal choice. Either way, you’re dancing.
Obligatory.
Actually this one is better than the clip in my comment 5:
I don’t really dance, but it is hard to sit still while this is playing.
Bringing reggae to Ricochet:
I thought sure that was going to lead to this:
You fooled me.
I like that. Very pleasant and good beat.
You RickRoll’d your own post . . . before anyone else got a chance to
For anyone who can’t tell, this is a part of this month’s Group Writing: Music that makes me . . . There are still more than a dozen openings if any of y’all want to sign up and present some music that makes us feel a certain way.
I should further say, that given @cliffordbrown‘s penchant to threaten us with the Charmin Bears and similar content, you really, really, really want to take control of this month’s offerings for yourselves.
That’s the way I roll.
And appropriate for our times, I think.
Morning Arahant,
For openers the Berry Bros and Fascinating Rhythm.
I’ve been married for quite a long time. Rick Astley (pre-Rick roll) was my wife’s favorite performer at the time we met. I managed to overlook that.
Man, if I could move and dance like that, I’d be doing it all day long.
This one’s a bit obvious, but in my less cynical moments I get sucked in.
How about some two-tone ska?
I’ve been hooked on Psy for years, even before Gangnam Style. His videos have had an oddball sense of humor all along; some fall flat, but he always brings his A game. Here’s one from an earlier album, before celebrity cameos became too annoying.
Morning again Arahant,
Followed by the most musical dancer Eleanor Powell, Fascinating Rhythm
Or some third-wave ska?
He did it before I got here.
Can’t leave this one out. I could practically dance to the entire film, but this track gets me every time.
You snooze, you lose.
