I’m sure you meant you remember lying in bed… I guess I’m in grammar Nazi mode.
I think that is where I first heard him, along with the CBS Radio Mystery Theater, related only in their late night audiences.

Listening to Dr. Demento in my case was mostly done standing around in a friend’s house. Nice to see so many Ricochetti were listening, too.
I never heard Dr. Demento, but when we lived in Klamath Falls we could sometimes get Wolfman Jack on the skip.
I was thankful he was on AFRTS.
