Let’s Start Over Again
“Let’s start over again, let’s pretend we just met, but this time you’re going to tell me the truth.” This was a phrase I used when I had heard two different stories from someone on the street who was trying to avoid a trip to booking. Once I heard the second story I knew someone was trying to find one that I would like, and I knew story number three, and four were on the way.
My list of my observations on this current crisis:
I have watched the briefings from the White House and I’m bemused by the questions from some so-called journalists. I liken it to a pack of coyotes fighting over a rabbit. Yipping, barking, and howling. Ben Rhodes from the Obama administration and I don’t agree on much of anything, but we agree on this:
All these newspapers used to have foreign bureaus, he said. Now they don’t. They call us to explain to them what’s happening in Moscow and Cairo. Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington. The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing.
China has dropped off the coronavirus charts. The list should include China with the tag “unknown” for the number of cases, and the number of fatalities.
Some governors are living the dream, issuing executive orders rather than legislating. Governors and some elected federal officials who have dreamed of controlling what you eat, what you can own (firearms), your transportation, and what type of bag you use to bring home your groceries are in heaven. They haven’t been too concerned about the environmental impact of the homeless. Their discarded needles, urinating, and defecating on sidewalks, or in parks are now public health scolds.
Releasing inmates who have not obeyed the law, but somehow will have an epiphany and will now obey the law to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Those inmates have something in common with the elected officials that release them. They believe in not letting a good crisis be wasted.

definitely causality :-)
I hope she remembered to pair the victim-me dress with [redact]-me pumps.
I don’t follow political fashion, but isn’t that Monica’s shade of blue?
she must be the frontrunner for joe biden running mate
Surf’s up!
Okay, upon closer inspection I think I can see the perky bits. The navel doesn’t necessarily mean the lack of underwear. Even with a little paunch belly, she looks fine.
I suspect causality, actually.
You can see her “perky bits” are beginning to sag, and her tummy is also beginning to hang out. At her age, I would have been embarrassed to be seen in public like that. But maybe she has been taking belly dancing lessons.
LOL! My mother took belly dancing once, even bought the outfit. One of the most embarrassing moments of my life was when all my friends came by the house, then my mother showed up all decked out in her gear, dancing and clapping her finger cymbals. To this day my friends still make jokes about it . . .
I had a friend who tried to talk me into taking lessons. I laughed at her, no way I say! I was proud of my slim, trim, body. Of course, age will change your mind for you.
