He’s Omnipresent Man. He’s omnipresent, man.
Fantasy!? You went from computers and nuke’s in Africa to this? Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!
Hopefully you’ve seen the Coppermind wiki. If you haven’t, prepare to lose several hours diving down the rabbit holes. It has a whole section on worldhoppers. Spoiler alert: Zahel is Vasher.
There are some Cosmere books that haven’t been published that have more information. One is White Sand, which was rewritten and published as a graphic novel. The character Khriss who shows up in both the Stormlight Archive and Mistborn is from that story. The other is The Liar of Partinel, which is a first attempt at Hoid’s origin story. You can find parts of it online, but Brandon plans to rewrite it entirely in the future. I think I have a few chapters of it somewhere.
You can get away with a little of that. In a fantasy, a little more. Heck, in a fantasy, you can give some weird justification for it — a character feature, even. You shouldn’t do it over and over and over again.
I’m lookin’ at you, Disney!
I didn’t know that existed, nevertheless I knew something of that sort must exist. And I tend to limit my time on such things, ever since I got burned by TvTropes.
Vasher as Zahel makes a decent amount of sense, except Vasher was like, third best with the sword. Maybe it just means that the other guys were that much better?
Actually, I haven’t rallied round to read the story about the nukes in Africa yet.
It’s worth checking out when you want information on a specific topic, like how many people* hold a Shard of Adonalsium (which is not like a shard blade).
*11 at most. The status (and names) for 6 of the Shards are unknown. Four of the original 16 Shards have been splintered and two have been combined.
Yeah, closing that tab now. That way madness lies.
They know a great deal more than I do, and they know it mostly by combing resources I haven’t seen. Looks like I was wrong about a couple conclusions I made up there, but never mind that. I was also right about some.
Called it!
Heresy! Who could dare not like The Sanderson???
