Nevertheless, She Desisted: Warren Ends Campaign

After abysmal showings in every caucus and primary to date, Sen. Elizabeth Warren finally suspended her failed campaign for the presidency. “I wanted you all to hear it first, and I wanted you to hear it straight from me,” Warren said in a staff call Thursday morning. “Today, I’m suspending our campaign for president.”

Media figures are in mourning, as the Massachusetts senator was seemingly created in a lab to appeal to upper-middle-class urbanites who attended the right schools, laugh out loud at New Yorker cartoons, and scribble bad prose for a living.

Warren has been in the horse race for more than two years but didn’t win or place anywhere. In six states, she settled for a third-place show; in the other 11, she came in fourth or fifth. She spent more than $90 million.

The only candidates that remain are Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and, for some reason, Tulsi Gabbard.

At least Elizabeth Warren is out, who had no charisma or really much else to offer (supposedly falling between Biden and Sanders but all too far left anyway). I don’t think she ever had the following of the other 2, even if they are all crazy, so I can see how she didn’t succeed. I hate to say old geezers are preferable to a woman but she was too much like people’s least favorite high school teacher and not somebody you’d want to hear for years. I don’t know what it’s going to take for us to get a Thatcher or Merkel but I think the population itself would have to be more cohesive. When the sides don’t see much common ground, I think they tolerate old opposing wild men making their points but don’t want to put up with annoying women. So it may be a long way off in the future.

Biden is kind of a fighter but showing his age and is slipping on grasp of details compared to Trump, plus he has the corruption and pawing women issues. Democrats would be hypocritical to run him with a straight face. They are so obcessed with human flaws in Trump, how could they offer anybody less than a saint, at this point? – but that won’t bother them if the only alternative is the Bolshevik.

It’s hard to understand all the grief and mourning articles are reporting (from party undisclosed) women about Warren’s demise on the grounds of how WOMEN didn’t make the progress expected by them, evidenced by her exit. They never grasp that a Clinton or any liberal woman doesn’t represent ALL WOMEN. Their best chance of getting that “gender” elected (if it matters so much) is for a conservative woman to run, hence less of a socialist. But that never crosses their minds! (Recall how well they supported Sarah Palin). So all the tears are really just over not getting a certain “kind” of woman, because they won’t vote for the wrong “kind.” So, boo-hoo.

They’ll get to her and eventually, she’ll go brown shirt and endorse Joe, even though her positions were in lockstep with the old Bolshivek.

Maybe Sanders will try to bring new life into his campaign by picking Warren as his running mate . . .

Did you ever notice how the Borg leaders in the Star Trek movies are all women?

It’s that cooperation thing. “You will assimilate.” Or else.

They don’t have a very open definition of queen. Needs to be more inclusive.
