With the expansion of the social credit system, permission to buy may not be as widespread as it is today.
Very interesting, thanks. On a shallow and superficial note, I can’t help chuckling at some of the Far-Eastern Cardinal’s names. Cardinal Zen, and the late Cardinal Sin, in particular . . .
The social credit system is already prohibiting people from buying train tickets or renting cars. What could go wrong?
Excellent program – such courage. The challenges of so many are increasing around the world. Cardinal Zen gives a very powerful testimony to that.
I would describe China as more of a Fascist government but it is not easy to differentiate.
Of course. The only way to salvage such a bad idea is to force everyone to live under it.
Well, Bishop Sorondo, the head of the Pontifical Academy for Sciences and Social Science says there is no better practitioner of the social doctrine of the Church than the ChiComms.
And the secret agreement between China and the Vatican appears to have emboldened the Chinese. Neither the Pope or Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, seems to give a darn. You hear nothing from them about the situation in Hong Kong or China. They have thrown the faithful under the bus by capitulating to the ChiComms. This is despicable and an embarrassment.
China is not really a primarily-socialist economy; if it were, it wouldn’t have shown such economic dynamism over the last couple of decades. Its social system would be more accurately describes as corporatist / economic fascist.
The “communist” in the name of the party is there for reasons of historical continuity and internal marketing.
“Well, Bishop Sorondo, the head of the Pontifical Academy for Sciences and Social Science says there is no better practitioner of the social doctrine of the Church than the ChiComms.”
Ya know ChiCom China has a greater carbon footprint that Europe and America combined.
But I thought in our great CommiePope’s words we are supposed “hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor”? When will the Commie Pope take to task the ChiCom’s for their environmental irresponsibility like he has of the West?? Are we supposed to hear the cry of the oppressed and imprisoned as well? How about the silenced? I think Pope Francis and his lap dog Bishop Sorondo are bearing false witness in a huge and sinful way.
Fascism is just socialists who learned to stand in line.
