Trump Hated for Speaking the Truth

I was going to post this in Happy Warriors Ricochet group, but I think it deserves a wider audience. Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel nail it:

Throughout the impeachment drama, the press repeatedly told you that the president was a liar. They said his lies are why he had to be impeached. Donald Trump is a salesman; he is a talker, a booster, a compulsive self-promoter. If Trump hadn’t gotten rich in real estate, then he could’ve made a fortune selling cars. Most people know this.

So is lying really the reason the left despises Trump? Or could the problem be, as is so often the case, the exact opposite of what they claim? What drives them completely crazy are those moments when Trump dares to tell the truth. Think back over the last four years to when the CNN anchors have been angriest. Was it when Trump exaggerated his own accomplishments? No. They are used to that kind of lying from all politicians. What infuriates them is when Trump tells the truth. Truth is the real threat to their power.

Carlson and Patel don’t mention the Ukraine impeachment idiocy, but the same applies there. The Clinton campaign solicited foreign interference in the 2016 election by any means available. The Ukrainians probably know something about it (given its ties to Russia) and the Bidens are neck-deep in shenanigans there, given Obama’s appointment of Gropey Joe as the point-man on Ukraine to coincide with Hunter’s lucrative fake job with Burisma. Maybe the Bidens avoided outright illegality (doubtful), but there’s definitely corruption there. Does the media think we’re stupid? Don’t answer that.

No presidential candidate should be shielded from investigation by virtue of running for office — haven’t we learned that with the Russia (Hoax) Mueller investigation? How’s the FBI coming along with wiretaps and FISA warrants on the Biden campaign?

.

Oh, man, that’s hilarious. It shouldn’t be, but it is.

Srsly? It’s a safe space for people happy with the Trump presidency — not just lukewarm about it because he’s better than the alternative. Which gives us the opportunity to exclude you, Spin, and make you all jelly!! ;-)

Trump is self-promoter and always has been. This has led to situations in which his fidelity to the truth has been questioned and his proclivity for hyperbole has gotten him in trouble.

This allows for people to dismiss his views on the state of affairs in D.C. no matter how truthful some of them they may be.

On the other hand, how can Trump be blamed when his enemies are constantly preaching about “larger truths” and “individual truths?” Christine Blasey Ford is permitted to make allegations and change the course of the nation without evidence but she must be believed because it’s “her truth.” Dan Rather could peddle forgeries and still claim they were “fake but true” and be paraded out on CNN as a paragon of virtue.

The left never stops to think how a sketchy political tactic may eventually come back to bite them. They convinced the nation that Clinton’s malfeasance was “only sex” and remain shocked that Stormy Daniels didn’t bring Trump’s resignation. They convinced the nation that everyone has their own “truths” but are shocked that Trump is brazen at times. They convinced the nation that political goals were more important than ethical behavior when they nominated Hillary and were shocked that Trump was electable.

Yes, I am sure that there are dozens, if not hundreds of candidates out there eager to proclaim that Ted Cruz’s father killed Kennedy with Oswald.

While the [Edit. Birther] nonsense may have come out of the Hillary Campaign, only Trump kept pushing that nonsense after Obama produced his birth certificate.

Those aren’t just hyperbole, they are  lying and they disqualify the liar.

Those aren’t just hyperbole, they are lying and they disqualify the liar.

    1) Were you as exercised about the FBI accusing Trump of being a Russian spy? Some of us are able to brush off Trump’s silly comments like Sr. Cruz’s complicity in the Kennedy assassination. That you take it so seriously and Ted Cruz is defending Trump in the Senate should tell you something. But, it won’t.

    2) I hope you meant “Birther” and not “Bircher.” Accusing President Trump of antisemitism is a calumny. As to his birtherism, I’ve always believed Obama was born in Hawaii (and even if he had been born in Kenya, he would have qualified for the presidency according to current interpretations of birth-right citizenship [Edit:] natural born citizenship by virtue of his mother’s American citizenship). I find it much more significant that he was born of parents who were both anti-American communists and raised by grandparents who placed him with another anti-American communist (Frank Marshall Davis) as a black, male role-model. I think birth-right citizenship should be based on loyalty [of the parent(s)] to the American founding, not geographic location.

Donald Trump’s hyperbole has zero effect on policies of the government that directly effect our lives!! Unlike “you can keep your doctor/insurance.” You exaggerate their importance.

I’m fine with Trump supporter. I do not excuse his bad behavior (like all of us, he will have to answer to his Maker someday), but I believe he loves the country and his countrymen and he wants us to win. That buys him a lot of forgiveness from me. I also believe his manner and exposing of the Left (media and politicians) is crucial at this time. He’s Shane or John McClane. He may blow up the building (norms), but the terrorists (Left) who have taken over cannot be defeated any other way.

I think you have an unhealthy attachment to the status quo.

    True or False?

There is an unspoken agreement among the people in charge of our country not to talk about what has happened to it. They are personally implicated in its decline. Often they are profiting from it. The last thing they want is a national conversation about what went wrong. So they maintain an increasingly strict policy of mandatory reality avoidance. Everything is fine, they shout. Voices rising in hysteria. Shut up or we will hurt you.

    True or False?

Trump won’t shut up. That is his crime; that is why they hate him. It started with his very first speech as a presidential candidate: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. … They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Why are we not supposed to talk about the downside of unregulated immigration over the southern border? Because it doesn’t exist? That’s just BS.
