You’re Not Paranoid: The Trans Lobby Really Is Targeting Children

I honestly don’t care if a fully grown man or woman decides he or she is a member of the opposite sex and proceeds to augment and mutilate himself or herself with injections and surgery.

My problem with this is the deliberate targeting of vulnerable children by the LGBT lobby.

In the UK, we’re talking about children as young as three years old being diagnosed by supposedly sane experts as being “transgender.” Numerous school districts across the United States in thrall to the LGBT lobby have classes in which activists instruct little boys and girls to crossdress and “reconsider” their gender – all without parental knowledge or consent. In Illinois, Democrat Governor Pritzker has made such instruction mandatory with no option for parents to opt their children out.

The campaign against “conversion therapy” for gays has transferred itself to also prohibiting any therapy to assist children to come to terms with and accept their biological sex. Which is actually the healthiest outcome by any measure, as opposed to condemning a child to a lifetime of therapy, sterility, hormone shots, and continuous surgery. And that’s not to mention the high likelihood of cardiac, skeletal, and circulatory issues.

In every other case of body dysmorphia – from anorexia to a girl just wanting bigger breasts – therapists are supposed to discourage healthy patients from going under the knife and encourage them to accept their bodies as they are. It’s only transgenderism that encourages surgery and hormone injections that do horrific amounts of damage to the body as a matter of course as essentially the first, and often, only, option.

It’s gotten to the point that not only are therapists supposed to immediately refer a child for “gender affirmation” for something as innocuous as a four-year-old boy playfully clip-clopping around in his mother’s shoes, or a little girl playing with a truck, there are grounds for suspicion that a number actually coach children to threaten their parents with suicide and even to fake suicide attempts if they voice any doubts that this is the only option.

As it is, today, if a little girl is seen in a tube top and miniskirt and made up like a streetwalker, there’s no one who would object to Child Services taking the child away from her parents. But just take a look at the hagiographical articles being written about “drag kids”, i.e. little boys being dressed like female prostitutes and strippers, and the praise being showered on their parents – up to and including parents who take their boys to pole dance for leering men in adult clubs and model “clothes” for BDSM magazines and catalogs (if you can stomach it, duckduckgo “Queen Lactacia.”)

Which brings us all to the point of this all – why are trans activists insisting on children being subjected to these life-altering medically dangerous treatments at ever younger ages, to the point that they’re recommending that very young children be allowed to have these treatments over parental objections?

Because kids with gender confusion tend to resolve into being comfortable with their biological sex 95 to 98 percent of the time by puberty’s end, i.e., the number of children with gender dysphoria that persists past puberty is vanishingly small. This is, of course, the healthiest outcome for the child … but it is considered a “problem” by LGBT activists. And the solution to this “problem” is to prevent this resolution by aggressively targeting children while they’re still prepubescents.

The reason why gangs demand that new members get extensive tattoos and “prove” themselves by committing some crime – often horrific – as part of their initiation ritual is to make the new entrant feel there is no going back – MS-13’s “Mata, Viola, Controla” is not just a motto.

Once a child knows he/she has been injected with something to make him/her the opposite sex – with adults he/she trusts acting so proud and approving – that same feeling of “no going back” is introduced into the equation. Especially when the child can see his/her peers are virilizing/feminizing as puberty kicks in and hormone blockers have halted his/her own development. From there being a 95 to 98 percent chance he/she would eventually become comfortable as his/her birth sex, it crashes to near zero – it’s “too late.”

So here we are. Being unaware of your 14-year-old son getting a two-inch tattoo on his bicep could very well lose you custody of your child. But deliberately having your son injected with chemicals that would not only sterilize him but also weaken his bones, damage his heart and blood flow, and then take him to a surgeon to create superfluous infection-prone orifices on his body would have you celebrated on the pages of the New York Times. In fact, you’re now more likely to lose custody of your child for refusing to do so.

Endpoint: the Trump Administration should announce an immediate ban, however it works, on persons under the age of 18 being provided with gender transitioning treatments, along with a strong campaign highlighting the dangers of such treatments over and above the heads of the media. This would be an electoral winner with every demographic outside of journalists, Far Left college students and professors, and Hollywood.

It’s the ultimate wedge issue – not just good politics but good policy protecting the most vulnerable.

A very small blog I am on, that has only 15 users, had this item posted over the weekend. It is concerned with the Tavistock Institution.

“England’s first state-sponsored child gender reassignment clinic has been slapped with a lawsuit by a mother of a patient and a former nurse at the center, who say “experimental” treatments are being forced on kids as young as 11.

“The suit, first reported by the Times, alleges the Tavistock clinic in Leeds, and its Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS), painted an “inaccurate and potentially misleading” picture about the risks of hormone blockers, which are used to delay sexual development in children who wish to switch genders.

“The case was brought by the mother of a 15-year-old patient at the clinic – who has only identified as “Mrs. A” – and Sue Evans, who worked there as a mental health nurse between 2003 and 2007. Evans told the Times she was concerned with how rapidly children were recommended for hormone treatment at the clinic, which some experts say can have serious medical risks, including loss of fertility and the ability to have an orgasm. Families are not made aware of some of those dangers, Evans said.

“Mrs. A – who said she wanted to remain anonymous to protect her child’s identity – expressed concern that “no one, let alone my daughter, understands the risk” of the hormone procedure, which she called an “experimental treatment.” Proper informed consent cannot be obtained under those conditions, she added.”

    SNIP

In an open letter published over the summer directed at Tavistock head Polly Carmichael, another former employee at the clinic, psychologist Kirsty Entwistle, said the center was moving too fast with too little evidence.

“It is a problem that GIDS clinicians are making decisions that will have a major impact on children and young people’s bodies and on their lives, potentially the rest of their lives, without a robust evidence base,” Entwistle wrote.

The Tavistock clinic said it would not comment on any pending legal matters in a statement to the Times. “It is not appropriate for us to comment in detail in advance of any proposed legal proceedings,” the clinic said. “The GIDS is one of the longest-established services of its type in the world with an international reputation for being cautious and considered.”

MartinKnight: I honestly don’t care if a fully grown man or woman decides he or she is a member of the opposite sex and proceeds to augment and mutilate himself or herself with injections and surgery.

This is the root of the problem: it’s OK, men can become women and vice versa. That’s how we end up with cringeworthy pieces like this in an ostensibly conservative publication.

It’s hard to discern exactly what the conservative movement has conserved. Instead, it’s been a gradual acceptance of the Left’s agenda. “Conservatism is progressivism driving at the speed limit.” (M. Malice).

Theodore Dalrymple (aka Anthony Daniels) makes a more disturbing point about the denial of reality:

Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.

Carry on, standing athwart history yelling stop, thereby consigning conservatism to the dustbin of history. As long as the only vision conservatives offer is a negative one, that will be its fate.

    More scattershot thoughts:

I don’t understand how any doctor can justify the use of hormone blockers without first defining puberty as a disease.

We consider the ancient practice of foot-binding to be barbaric, but it was done to prepare a child for a preferred future.

Your link to a National Review piece is right on target.  They conserve nothing.  They surrender on everything.

Ludicrously, they praise the “conversation” on gay rights as being “more mature and considered.”  We haven’t had a conversation.  We’ve had a 20-year campaign of propaganda, lies, vilification of traditional views, and ostracism of opponents.  We have the “born that way” argument — mentioned again in Douglas Murray’s recent, excellent book — which is both logically flawed and factually unsupported, as I have repeatedly demonstrated (quite pointlessly, as people are impervious to reason and evidence on the subject).

It is quite troubling when even National Review is not remotely conservative.  But hey, they watched Will and Grace and listened to a catchy Lady GaGa song, so they think that they’re enlightened now.

Sorry for coming across as a bit frustrated.  Now similar, nonsensical and factually unsupported arguments are advanced in favor of hormonal and surgical mutilation of children, and they have no defense.  No wonder.  They have abandoned morality, law, tradition, religion, reason, argument, and evidence.  What is left?

    Power, slander, and intimidation.

Something about reaping the whirlwind comes to mind.

We’ve been around this bush a few times (pun unintended) and my question remains – “What separates a healthy functioning piece of genitalia from any other healthy functioning appendage?”

People who suffer from apotemnophilia, or body integrity identity disorder, look at one of their limbs and want it amputated. Any orthopedic surgeon worth his salt wouldn’t touch it with a 20-foot pole. But if it’s genitalia…. it’s chop-o-matic. WTF?

It is a strange fact that there have been apotemnophiliacs who have gotten a limb removed and have felt better for it.

I can only assume it might be a best solution in the most extreme cases. The problem is, once this kind of operation is on the table – so to speak – people fixate on it.

It’s a little like, or exactly like, torture in that properly and officially we don’t torture, but when torture is most certainly the only answer we probably do. That has doubtless been the policy since our nation’s founding, but only during the Gulf War was this the kind of thing citizens had to worry about.

We are frequently importuned by the left to think of the children.

That is what we do. And that is why we don’t experiment on them with drugs and surgery.

Trump is not the savior. The Democrats are worse of course. It all stinks.

What in the world would you expect him to do ? He has been tolerant of gays for years. This is a cultural thing and not part of politics except the Democrats seem to think it will work to their advantage. Soon women’s activists will realize how this is destroying women’s sports. I suspect the trend will peter out, so to speak.

I don’t expect him to do anything. I just can’t stand him held up as the great savior. He isn’t.

I don’t think it is the same, Doc.  It’s perfectly consistent to not care about adults acting stupidly while being opposed to pushing it on kids.  For example, you know that I enjoy a good drink.  I am never going to be a teetotaler.  However, if we were getting my little cousins sloshed with tropical drinks, that’s a problem.  Kids can’t make decisions for themselves – it’s the parents who are responsible.

I have a friend who is gender dysphoric.  I had no idea “she” was actually a “he” in online conversation – “she” acted very, very feminine, wrote only about women, etc.  I told him that I didn’t believe people can actually change sex, because that’s the truth, but I did not obsess over it.  People do lots of stuff I disapprove of.  I also tried to caution him against hormone treatment because I don’t want him to be a statistic.  However, it is nowhere near the utter infuriating outrage of kids getting mutilated.

If you look at the areas where conservatives have made progress in the culture war (abortion and guns)  it is based on rejecting government control on one hand, and a greater awareness of what the fetus is.  We can use this pattern to attack both the government mandate and the trans ideology – it is completely destructive to people, and leaves human wreckage behind that makes meth and crack look benign.

It is an issue for the Federal Government. It is Fed dollars that help boot up our school systems every August to June each FY.

It shouldn’t be the feds, because the schools should have local control. Let’s get rid of the Dept. of Education!

Amen to get rid of Dept. of Ed.  There’s a great scene from Yes, Prime Minister where the PM’s advisor tells him to get rid of Britain’s Dept. of Education in no uncertain terms (about the 2 minute mark):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DIy-C4cQ-M

As for local school boards, even they are problematic in the sense they are typically staffed through “non-partisan” elections.  I believe there is something inherently wrong with having an election where the political affiliation of the candidates is not made public.  People are kidding themselves if they think non-partisan elections will lead to non-partisan actions.

Even under local control, school boards have been known to thwart the will of the voters.  Here in Aiken County, our School Board a couple of years back voted to consolidate all sixth graders into one school.  Parents were furious and let it be known at public meetings, but the Board gave parents the middle finger and approved the plan anyway.

I believe that when people campaign to be elected to  some positions of office, they should be required to announce their party preference. A spot on a school board is one such office. A city council position, perhaps not so much.

I found it rather annoying to be asked about my ideas on gun control or abortion when I ran for city council in Sausalito. At that point in time, no one on that council would have any influence in any way on either of those two matters. The situation on gun control has probably changed by now.

The Dems refused to let me run on their banner, as it was known through my letters to the editor that I detested  the practice of performing late term abortions for women because doctors don’t want to deliver a baby they think will be deformed.

The Dems abandoning me and not giving me access to a $ 500 funding contribution did not prevent Annette Rose, county supervisor, from showing up at one of my rallies and scolding me for going ahead and running, even though she and Di Feinstein did not approve of me.

Rose might have spent her time getting her houseboat ‘s electric  wiring upgraded instead. That houseboat caught fire later that year and burned to the water level. On a cold December day, firefighters had to risk injury bouncing about on a frost- slippery pier while battling the flames. The Supervisor knew her boat was a risk because several insurance companies had refused to insure her due to the ancient wiring of said vessel.

Yet the person who replied to them said, “We shouldn’t get negative… if we do, we will lose.”

Just how can you not get negative about a culture that is fermenting its way into installing a Cultural revolution Number Two?
